August 13, 200322 yr i dont know why, but for some reason wright coming in and picking up cotts last night made me think of the 2000 season when lowe and barcelo pitched some really good games together. i havent heard anyone mention that kind of duo as another option for the 5th starter. are there any two people we could do this with?
August 14, 200322 yr i think that idea is pretty busch... ... were tryin to make the playoffs.. .. that sounds like something the cubs would do
August 14, 200322 yr I was a huge fan of that move when they did it. I mean, the game is changing everyday, if you don't have one starter, why not use two relievers.
August 14, 200322 yr If you're personel is suited to that, and it would work best, why not? The White Sox don't "think outside the box." Plus, the best option would be go with Wright and Schoenweis because Scott is a lefty.

The comment about thinking outside the box, I'll agree with. I've used that comment several times about the organization. Wright and Shoene might be the best option. But I still feel Cotts showed enough that he should get one more shot at it. His control has been improving all year, and I still think the circumstances got the best of him.
August 14, 200322 yr Well I will say this much, we need a couple of our back of the pen pitchers to step up and give us some big innings to lessen the load on Marte and Gordon or this bullpen will be fried.
