August 15, 200322 yr I've taken a strong liking to Carl. If I knew he was going to be here longer than a couple months, I'd buy his damn jersey. The thing is, he's not that fast, and the HR's haven't been there since he's been here, but he busts his ass all the time. He has gotten some big basehits, and lately he's been getting on base pretty often. I think he'll heat up his power bat for about 10 more bombs this here. Chalk 'em up.
August 15, 200322 yr Carl is one of my favorite players too. I dont mind if the power numbers are down as long as he is hitting. He is also starting to settle in out in CF. I think he brings needed energy to the team.

August 15, 200322 yr i have been carl's biggest fan since day 1 with the sox.....jurassic owns all I second that I will go as far as to say a lot of credit for our resurgent offense can go to Carl. The fact that we had a dangerous LH bat that was actually dangerous(Daubach? Liefer in 01? I don't think so). Best trade of the 3 made at the deadline.

August 15, 200322 yr .444 AVG this month. Hopefully he can come up with some big hits tonight to get the Sox offense rolling against the guy I felt the Sox should of acquired (Scott Shields).
