Women's soccer sure as hell doesn't lack for the dramatics. France dominates Canada for 90+ minutes, but Canada scores in the 92nd minute to get the bronze medal with a 1-0 win.

Volleyball team swept South Korea 3-0 to reach the finals.

Women's basketball team down by 4 to Australia at halftime.

EDIT: Ended up winning by 13.

is the soccer game being broadcast live?

Yes, its on right now

I'm watching a BBC feed so I wasn't sure if it was on NBC or not. US up 1-0 early.

Yep...Alex Morgan looks a bit like Derrick Rose with the ball

It's on NBCSN in the US, but I can't get it here at work so please keep up the commentary.

Limping around in a knee brace?

Japan just threatened the goal for the first time of the game. US defends it well but they almost scored

After the first goal, Japan kept up constant pressure for the rest of the half. Had some great opportunities, but couldn't convert. Not much offense for the US after their first goal.

the refs also blew a really obvious handball by the US on a free kick near the goal.

Exciting finish to the Canada-France Bronze medal match

That probably got good ratings in Quebec.

I struggled to find my usual live soccer update places, but this link might be useful to you.

Japan keeping up the pressure, keeping control of the ball in the Us end.

Fantastic shot by Llyod from the arc into the corner of the net, US 2-0.

japan scores, 2-1

Hope Solo with 2 great saves

2 minutes of stoppage time to go, 2-1 US

They hold them off, US Gold.

Pretty good game. Not as good as U.S./Canada, or U.S./Brazil in the World Cup last year.

But U.S. got the gold, go U.S.A.! :usa

Carli Lloyd picked a hell of a time to have the game of her life. Holy hell. It wasn't just the goals. She made 3 or 4 tackles that made me say wow.
