is going down the drain. We have no heart. I think we can still win the division, altho nothing more after that, and thats only if we can get it in gear. We cant beat crappy teams, we cant beat crappy pitchers. we cant score in crucial situations and we cant stop em. We got three runs and positioned ourselves for a nice comeback and then Adkins gave those runs right back. These guys need to go home and just think about what the hell theyre doing out there. Its obvious they dont have a clue. Even tho hes a little harsh, brijames certainly makes a point...

Its getting to a point sox have to start winning series........nobody should be saying there's a lot of baseball left to play. There are 39 games remaining, many of which will be with Minn and KC. Don't want to go into these series having to sweep them.

Attitude can quickly change in our club, certainly other teams are the same. Here are two examples:

1. KC beats the yankees 2/3 games, but gets their ass whooped by Minn. tonight. Imagine how frustrated it must be to beat the best team in the AL but lose to a divisional rival.

2. Minnesota loses 3/4 to Cleveland last week and wins tonight, pulling to one game behind us and 3 behind KC. Minnesota goes into tonight with a three game losing streak from Cleveland, but it didnt seem to hold them down.

Sox will win the next two, and everything will look better going home.

Okay ive had enough. ARE YOU BLIND? The chance of this current sox team winning the next two games are slim and none. Wake up people. You dont win when you dont care. :bang

Bmr, you got a f***ing problem man. Jesus, you have b****ed me out on atleast three posts in the last week. I saw the game today, and they did play like zombies. I'm not arguing that. But I dont dwell on this s***. If they win the next two, are you just going to consider it a fluke? 2 games out isnt out of the race. We wont lose the rest of our games..........we wont win the rest of our games. Does it really piss you off that much that I want my team to win?

I see both of your points of view. And you are both right. This team, the way they are playing right now, will not turn it around and get hot like they were right after the break. That team was on fire....they were clicking, and doing a lot of things right. You can't go from being zombies and playing like s*** to doing everything right in one game.....period. It takes, at the very minimum, one week to actually get hot, and usually much more time then that. However, there was a time earlier in the year when we actually were not playing well, but were winning games. We won like 4 of 5 or 7 of 10 or something at one point, and we sucked. That is the team we need to see. When you can play bad and still win, you can do a lot of things.

Nah, nothing you have said pisses me off. Im just frustrated and pretending this team is going to win anything just isnt gonna help.

Can't you guys calm down... is 2 games back to much for you... let's say we're two games back going into the last series @ KC, then yeh worry. But peoples we have many games to go, many at home too... calm down... and sit back relax and strap it down... and please tape some damn pessimistic mouths up!

Yes, only 2 games back -- but the way KC has been playing lately, we should be 3 or 4 games UP. That's why we're concerned -- along with the fact that the Sox look horrid over the past week.

This is a great post. I agree 100%.

We are what we are.

A team that when we are bashing the ball over the fence is good.

A team that when our starters are kick-ass for 7-8 innings we are good.

A team that has no speed on the bases, is pretty weak bullpen wise and still mighty questionable defensively.

Our only hope is to somehow get on a tear where we hit the ball over the fence like we did when we won 10 of 11 or whatever that streak was and a tear where our starters dominate.

Then we squeak in the playoffs and have to hope for a similar tear in the playoffs.

We can't create runs. We have to bash the ball and get starting pitching or we are toast.

Agree??
