I know Santos went on to get hurt with Toronto...and it is pretty impossible to know if the same thing would have happened here, but I liked his stuff a lot better than Reed's.

Yep. What struck me about the homer to Ross was the location was good. Ross just beat the ball to the spot, something you just don't see against power closers.

Because he was looking for a fastball, #1.

Because Reed's fastball hasn't been consistently dominant.

Because most of Reed's pitches are in the same 3 out of 9 boxes in the strike zone, batters know where to anticipate the location of a pitch.

Because he's been pretty hesistant recently to go with his slider...or AJ/Parent/Cooper to call for it.

Speaking of Sale, I'm going to the game on Tuesday. Has Grandstand/Sports Depot got their head out of their ass and ordered some Chris Sale gear? My Guillen authentic jersey and Beckham T are well....tough to wear. I have been looking for Sale stuff since May.

To me, Sale is the only one who is untradeable. Anybody else can be had for the right price.

Why no Gordon Beckham option?

There were about 5 calls in a row to Rongey's post-game show about the "Beckham issue."

I wouldnt trade Paulie because its too risky. If the Sox miss the playoffs and lose a legend in the same year, it would bury the team. I am assuming that if sale got traded it would be for equally high talent.

The poll needs to let me select multiple guys.

Not that it matters - you never say never on anyone. Sure, love Chris Sale, but if the Nats offer Stras? There's never anyone you WON'T trade.

I wouldnt trade him for strasburg, who I expect will be injured very soon again.

Drugs.

They are bad.

Right, but the Nats are never offering Strasburg for Sale. In the realm of reality, there's no deal for Sale that I would make.
