Mlb.tv on PS3

Featured Replies

is anyone running that. How's the performance? i've got a 3mb/sec download speed at home. Wondering if that is fast enough to stream?

I run it on my 360 on 3 mb/s (though I think the company said they just upgraded it to 6, buy I haven't noticed a difference yet...) and it's fine. Obviously not as perfect as watching on tv; it'll lag a few times during the game, but more in that the quality will get crappy for a bit, so you can still watch, it's not like it's just a loading screen. All in all, definitely worth the $50 I paid for it on father's day weekend.

mlb.tv in general is amazing IMO. I can bring my laptop when im forced to go to my mother in laws house and catch the sox and marlins games at the same exact time. It saves me from having to give Comcast my first born child in order to acquire a decent package that includes Comcast SportsNet.

I can't comment on the 3 mb/s, but I run it on a higher speed on PS3 and it's full HD and glorious. You can choose either feed for games, and also have the radio audio or the park sounds. It's pretty great.

Personally, I love it on my PS3.

If I could get NBA League Pass and HBO GO on there, I'd never need to change the TV from my PS3.

PS3 mlb.tv is solid. YouTube app is awful.

You can get HBO Go. You download a free thing call PlayOn to your pc. http://www.playon.tv/playon Then get the app. I won't go into more detail, but you can then broadcast hbo go directly to the PlayOn app on your PS3. It's painfully easy, and the quality and ease of use is no different than if you were to just have the app.

Although, I don't know why they don't have the app yet, but this is a workaround until then.

I live in Iowa, so MLB.tv has probably lost out on around 500 bucks from me.

Thanks man. I can finally finish Boardwalk Empire season 2. And start Game of Thrones.

Yup.

Iowa gets massively f***ed if like the White Sox, Cardinals, Cubs, Twins, Brewers, or Royals.

Or if the Sox play any of those teams. Usually I can get a Royals game on FSN Midwest Plus, but I'm screwed as far as Twins games. Or any Sox game on ESPN. Or TBS.
