Danks Defense

Today was the lights clearly but, it seems like he has had some bad moments when he plays LF. Is he just better off playing CF only if they are going to use him in a reserve role?

Absolutely. I just posted the same thought in the game thread. He has played left field poorly with the Sox this season. Maybe he's just not used to playing left field. Hawk hypes him as "the best defensive outfielder in the organization" but if that's true, it must be in centerfield but certainly not left. At this point in their careers, he's actually a defensive downgrade from Viciedo in left field.

This is the first time I've seen him look bad in LF, at least that I'm remembering. He routinely makes plays that are simply out of Dayan's range in LF.

The Dodgers game was another blunder, that time mental more than physical, of epic proportions. Glad today didn't turn into a Brant Brown moment for the Sox.

Different outfield position mean different looks. I am sure it is difficukt to mobve around but overall Danks is a plus defender. Just a bad day on Saturday

I remember that now, certainly more mental than physical but a blunder nonetheless. That game sucked

He's also a rookie making rookie mistakes. This is the risk in having a roster loaded with rookies.
