Thigpen, not sure about. Just an internal promotion, "Sox Loyalty" thing there apparently.

 

He flamed out quickly, but Thigpen was a pretty good reliever for a 6 year stretch. I like the idea of having a guy who knows the rigors of being in that position.

I used to have a cassette tape that was some birthday message from Bobby Thigpen when I was a kid. I loved it.

Anyone things the Thigpen hiring is due in part with the young bullpen we have ? Seems like a good fit for guys like Reed, Jones etc.

He's already worked with a lot of those guys while @ Birmingham.
