Cardinals make 2 decent moves

Featured Replies

Cardinals picked up Sterling Hitchcock and Mike DeJean today.

They need pitching, any kind of half-decent pitching.

If these two give them any production at all, and Matt Morris can do MOST of what he normally brings, that could be enough to take the weak-ass NL Central.

Has Hitcock been doing any good? That seems like a great move by the Yanks. Addition by subtraction. Dejean was always solid though.

I've seen a few box scores where Hitchcock looked like he struggled a bit. Granted he has been up against some tough lineups and no one in the Yankees pen is really pulling their weight right now.

I feel like the Cardinals can do no wrong against the Cubs. They have 8 more games against the Cubs and I don't think the Cubs have taken a series from them all year.

One thing for sure, the Cardinals HAD to do something. There was no way they could stay in this race with the pitching staff in the shape it was. I just wonder why they waited so long.

You couldnt pay ME as a GM to take Hitchcock...that guy was signed to all that $$$ by the Yanks..

I think they'll both help the Redbirds. And anything that hurts the Cubs is AOK with me.
