July 26, 201312 yr Why would the Braves trade Jason Heyward? He was the top prospect in baseball a few years ago. He still has a huge amount of upside and few more years under team control. I think you are over estimating the value of Peavy. He will get a decent package back but nothing close to Heyward.

Jon Rauch was the top prospect in baseball at one point as well.
