Hawk is always talking about how walks will come back to bite you and they almost always do. Any pitcher that can hold down the walks will always be that much more likely to get the "W".

You may hate 'em, but you have to respect 'em. They know how to play the game.

Plus, with most pitchers, a walk is 10 times more devastating than a hit is. With a hit, you can generally give the hitter credit and move on. With a walk, you're likely to dwell on it, and you tend to either 1) be more fine with the next hitter, which often leads to another walk, or 2) throw a pitch that catches too much of the plate for fear of falling behind in the count, and the guy tees off on it. Hopefully Neal can keep the Yankee hitters off balance today and hit the corners (and hopefully we'll have an ump that CALLS strikes on the corners).
