Because the NHL shares most of its arenas with NBA teams and the NBA teams don't want the seats any further from the court than they already are.

NBA is not the reason it is the lost revenue of the ten rows of seats surrounding the ice that is the issue. The NBA rolls out folding chairs and portable seats now. The NHL losses its highest ticket priced seats and a lot of them.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the NBA.

Sweden is only +3 after 2 games. They are going to be going for a bucketful of goals tomorrow against Latvia.

Given all their injury problems, I don't know if they will be that agressive. Zetterberg is now out for the tourney (and maybe the NHL season), so they are missing arguably 2 of their best 3 players. One point vs. Latvia clinches them a bye into the QF, and if USA/USSR goes to OT, then Sweden clinches a top 2 seed with a simple regulation win.

Yeah, taking penalties and looking lazy. Coach demoted him for it.

Turnovers and holding the Puck as well.

I'm not a huge fan of how the US is playing. They have an opportunity for puck possession but they keep rushing their play.
