QuickJones81
What is your future 2016 White Sox 25 man roster? Rules: You can only compile your 25 man roster from players currently with the White Sox, in their farm system, AND your prediction/wish for the 2014 1st round pick if you so choose. No future free agents or trades allowed, the name of the game is building from within. Here is mine to get things rolling C: Adrian Nieto 1B: Jose Abreu 2B: Micah Johnson SS: Tim Anderson 3B: Matt Davidson RF: Courtney Hawkins CF: Adam Eaton LF: Avisail Garcia DH: Dayan Vicideo Bench: Marcus Semien Bench: Carlos Sanchez Bench: Jacob May Bench: Josh Phegley Bench: Keon Barnum SP1: Chris Sale SP2: Tyler Beede SP3: Jose Quintana SP4: Erik Johnson SP5: Tyler Danish CL: Brad Goldberg RP: Daniel Webb RP: Andre Rienzo RP: Kevin Vance RP: Eric Surkamp RP: Jefferson Olacio

Signings and trades are always made. Way too hard to predict a roster 2 years in advance.
southsider2k5
I would put Chris Beck on the roster as an SP over anyone else who didn't pitch in Chicago last year.
witesoxfan
I don't even know what the 25 man roster is going to look like on March 30th of 2014. I definitely don't know what it's going to look like on August 1st of 2014. I am absolutely dumbfounded as to what it's going to be on April 1st of 2015. I know this is meant as a fun exercise, but frankly I'd be impressed by anybody that got 50% of the 2016 roster correct. 2 years ago, there's no way anybody could have predicted that Garcia, Eaton, Davidson, and Abreu would be in the opening day lineup, or that Chris Sale would be coming off back to back incredibly seasons, or that some guy named Jose Quintana was going to take a spot in the rotation, or that Philip Humber would be out of the league. JoshPR
If anything you won't have semien and Sanchez on the bench, they do the same thing. Plus from what I've read T Anderson might not end up a SS because of a weaker arm
harfman77
Danish and Hawkins will still be a ways away to start 2016.

winninguglyin83
How can you forget Jared Mitchell? Buddy Bell isn't going to give up until he's hitting third and a perennial AL All-Star.

Buddy Bell isn't going to give up until he's hitting third and a perennial AL All-Star. What's if he's hitting turd as a perineum All-Star? Does that count? The Ultimate Champion
If Johnson plays 2B we have a lot of depth at that spot to trade. Semien would represent insurance at multiple positions, 2B, SS, 3B. Davidson's done some things in Spring, but for all we know our 2016 3B is Gillaspie or Semien. Maybe even someone else entirely. I think our C isn't even in our organization, nor is our SS, our second DH/1B to go with Abreu, and we probably will end up with another OF by then as well. I think a lot of these pieces are going to come from the outside. Looking at our season's projected roster of younger & arb-eligible (pre-FA) players, Flowers, Nieto?, Abreu (basically an MLB FA), L Garcia, Gillaspie, Davidson, DeAza, Eaton, A Garcia all came outside of the organization. And looking at our starting staff, we traded for Danks when he was a prospect on another team and picked up Q as a spect. And Jones is probably going to be the only homegrown guy in the pen to start the season.
