April 10, 201412 yr It's so nice having a good hitting coach with a plan. Love seeing this team at bat. I'll take this team over our no hitting, wasting good pitching teams the past couple years. Love seeing the patience and long at bats. The bullpen will get straightened out eventually.
April 10, 201412 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 10:24 PM) On paper it didn't seem that bad coming into the season. Jones being injured/ineffective really hurt, as he was the most dynamic reliever in the bullpen. I never loved Nate Jones. Call me a hater. Blast away. I know most people love him on here. I have nothing against our new hitting coach, but I think praising him may be off base. Do we now blast Coop because our relievers have sucked and some of our starters have stunk? I just don't know if you can praise/blame a coach all the time based on how their players perform.
April 10, 201412 yr In 3 series they have faced two awful pitching staffs, one in the biggest hitters Park in the league. Not exactly time to praise any coaching staff yet
April 10, 201412 yr On the other side if the conceptual spectrum, the at bats have been more of substantial quality. You can't deny that.

Not exactly time to praise any coaching staff yet Ya true but look at the quality of at bats. They're working the counts and seeing good pitches and I like where we're headed. Even if it's only the Rockies.
