Jordan Guerrero 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 SO

 

Has thrown at least 2 innings in each of his last 4 appearances while pitching on a starters schedule. Similar to how Danish was handled last year. Wouldn't be surprised if he's in the rotaion later this year, or to start next year.

 

14 K in 13.2 IP this year with just 2 BB. Pretty good 1.78 GO/AO too. Much better vs. RHH than LHH, which likely points to the effectiveness of his change.

 

I like.

You just have to wonder if someone would pick him up if/when he is DFA'd. There's no harm in keeping him in Charlotte if he passes through waivers.

 

I wonder if he has the service time to reject an outright assignment? Good idea though... can't have enough bad pitching stowed away in AAA.
