September 2, 200322 yr Unfortunately, numbers don't win games players do. If you go by the numbers, the royals should be much farther back than they currently are as they have allowed more runs than they have scored.
September 2, 200322 yr Earlier today when i said all we needed is 86 wins, people seems to strongly disagree with me.
September 2, 200322 yr Author Earlier today when i said all we needed is 86 wins, people seems to strongly disagree with me. It definately depends on Which 86 wins they have. With 14 games coming up against the royal and twins i'd like to have a majority of our wins versus them.
September 2, 200322 yr let's shoot for 88 or 90 just to be safe one caveat in all this is the 7 games KC and Twinkiedom both have with the Tigers
September 2, 200322 yr Author here's something else I found. records when allowing 3 or fewer runs KC's 44 - 1 Chicago White Sox 55 - 14 We've had much better pitching but haven't been able to capitalize. Losing 3 games this season 1-0 doesn't help, especially against the tigers.
September 2, 200322 yr don't remind me I sat through two of them -- Gary Knotts beating Loaiza in late May and Perez of San Diego beating Garland on U.S Open Sunday in June not much fun.
September 2, 200322 yr I still worry that the Royals don't realize they are through. At least at some point the Twins may realize they are tired and fade gracefully, I see KC battling until the end.
September 2, 200322 yr Royals are used to being ahead. if we can push them 4 or 5 behind, i think that with their pitching problems, they finally stop getting by on grit and enthusiasm. At least I hope so. Twinkies, I really can't figure out. There's no doubt that team should have a better record but I think they have too many guys worrying about 2004 contracts. They haven't hit and I'm sure they expected more from Cuddyer, Restovich and Morneau. And it didn't help them when Milton went down.
