it appears that Thursday is Randy Johnson's scheduled day to pitch

 

and Thursday is the day Arizona will be in KC for that makeup game.

6. The Throwback Matchup of the Week

Arizona at Kansas City: Thursday.

 

 

Throwback to earlier in the summer, anyway. This was back when interleague play ruled the day. Thanks to a rainout, we have this mild form of anachronism in the post-Labor Day environment.

 

The Royals schedule this week is not a pleasant one. They fly in from Dallas late Wednesday night, face Randy Johnson (albeit in a reduced capacity) on Thursday afternoon and then leave for Anaheim. That sounds like a pretty intense 24 hours. Of course, it's not like they have to carry their own luggage or anything like that ?

Webb pitched Sunday, Schilling pitched today and I know Batista is pitching Wednesday, so this appears to be right.

 

That's a break for us, as long as Randy can put the handcuffs on the Royals.

nice, hopefully he'll pitch the way he used to....

Hopefully the Unit will be on. And in regards to Webb, that kid kicks BUTT.

Webb has been way overshadowed by Dontell this year.

And Webb is the better pitcher.

webb has a better ERA more QS and a better WHIP and K #s if i can recall my sig correctly.... either way they both are studs

Webb got a lot of Movement on his Pitches and a really good Sinker ball. I wish Garland could pitch like that

Dontrelle has hit the wall.

 

If the writers are playing attention, Webb gets NL Rookie of the Year.

 

let's just hope the Unit does his work. Arizona still in the hunt for the wildcard so they should dial it up.

RJ is not himself yet. He's pitching purely on smarts. He's struggled to reach a speed over 92MPH. The heater is not there yet. Don't expect miracles in a hitters ballpark from him.

 

More importantly KC goes to ANA which is playing very well.

The game that was postponed over this weekend in KC will be made up on Sept 29th if it factors in the division race.
