Gerardo Parra

Anyone else think he is a perfect fit for the White Sox? In the right age window, bats lefthanded, solid defensively in both right and left. Doesnt offer the pop you'd hope for from a corner outfielder, but I'd forego some of that to improve the outfield defense.

I think he'd be a great buy-low guy to see if he could bounce back. We do need his skillset pretty desperately, and it would put another left handed bat down in the order to break up all the righties.

I'd much rather give him a shot than play Viciedo every day.

I could see him as a last resort if the Sox can't sign Melky or swing a trade for a LF, but I wouldn't sign him right now and call him my starting LF.

He seems like a pretty good option now based on the money spent elsewhere. Webb is someone that definitely could be used as trade bait.

I was clamoring for Parra all over this site about 2 years ago, but at this point, I hope the Sox aim a bit higher. That being said, I'd still be happy with him doing some defensive work with that cannon arm.

I don't know how much money we have left, but if we get Kemp, we'd instantly become a AL Central contender.
