He didn't play much after they brought him up.

 

He's below average behind the plate.

 

And he hasn't hit in the big leagues -- other than his first week.

 

I've never seen Smith play, but have to figure they like him a little to protect him.

 

Never gotten the sense Ventura or the coaching staff was big on Phegley. Just flat-out misses too many balls.

Somebody is obviously going to go but Brantly isn't necessarily an upgrade.
