December 17, 200223 yr While the Sox have tried this before, they are seriously attempting to get a naming rights deal done before the new season. This makes a lot of sense because the winning bidder gets their name all over the park for the All Star game. Is a major soft drink company in he running?
December 17, 200223 yr if there were something going on believe me miller wouldnt be out of the running... they love the publicity and since they are the beer of choice at the park im sure they would have something to say over pepsi............reguardless that theres already a park named after them.......

Don't you think that a ballpark named "Magglio Ordonez's Pepsi Stadium at Comiskey Park" would be something to cherish? They could have a BIG picture of Maggs up there on the ticker they have near the Ryan.
December 17, 200223 yr I'd say Pepsi would be a good choice. Miller would be perfect, but they got one stadium.

December 17, 200223 yr As long as it's not Yahoo! Park. Anyways, I thought Wrigley was hoping to use that.
December 17, 200223 yr There is already a Pepsi Center in Colorodo for the Avalanche. Even though you hate Yahoo, they are a big sponsor fo the White Sox. Let them rename the stadium for all I care, as long as it brings the HR porch and the new upper deck Jeff
December 17, 200223 yr I wouldn't count on Yahoo taking on naming rights. Weren't they rumored to be near bankruptcy just a few months ago? Speaking of bankruptcy, what does United Airlines' financial situation mean for their naming rights on the United Center?

If there was a strong wind at the park, would the announcers have to say that "there's a Genuine Draft today"??? :huh
December 18, 200223 yr Author Rather than Pepsi Park, I think KW and JR might feel that the park should be called Payless Park (as in the shoe store)-- since that is what they do for all free agents! You know they have to be creative.
December 18, 200223 yr I'm thinking I'll mail Jr 10 bucks and we can have Soxnet.net Park I'm going with Yahoo or anyone that is willing to give us enough to get the homer porch and all those cool things. I'll still call it Comiskey either way.
