Nick Basto has been terrible this year. He was terrible up through 2013 too. Seemed to jump all of a sudden in 2014, but now back at the same level he's hitting .112 and striking out about 40% of the time.

In addition to Basto's struggles with the bat, he's listed at and playing OF this year. There were/are a lot of concerns about his defense and he has a career .837 fielding percentage at 3B, so the change is not really surprising, but it's disappointing that he seems lost both at the plate and in the field.

I love following the minor league update threads because of all the over reactions. This kid had a good week. Promote him! Where does he fit in the line up? This kid had a bad week. He's regressing! He's "toolsy." Keep it up guys. It's great entertainment.

for me, getting the constant up to date info and stats on the prospects, all the prospects, is great reading to keep tab on their progress.

 

yeah, i am obsessed in reading and keeping myself up dated info. i just can't see, being spoiled by this sire, how other sites posters deal without it.
