September 11, 200322 yr http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/news/...30909poy10.html To me it's Reed or Barfield. Barfield had 20 errors, but his RBI totals are insane. I'd pick Barfield.
September 11, 200322 yr nothing against reed, but it might be better if Barfield gets it the award seems to be either a jinx or a burden ask Rauch or Konerko
September 11, 200322 yr Some pretty damn good players on that list. I'm with ya on Barfield or Reed. I'd take Reed cause he did it at a higher level.
September 11, 200322 yr Is there any chance of a bias toward former Toronto Blue Jays players kids or is this just a coincidence? Reed is one of the older players but I think overall the most hyped will get it, Rauch being 6'10" made him unique.
September 11, 200322 yr My guess is that Reed has not won it. If history can be a guide, the winner has already been chosen, yet not released. When Rauch won it a few years ago, he already knew at this point that he had won, even though BA didn't announce anything until later. I heard that Rauch had won ahead of time. I have heard no such thing about Reed. It is possible they are keeping it quiet, but I would think I would have heard something from one of a small handful of people.
September 12, 200322 yr If Everett leaves, what do you think the ETA is on Reed? Summer 2004? No way! We got Willie Harris waiting to claim that spot.
