Pitching matchups

I thought with the rest day we would see E-Lo, Bart, and Mark the nest three days which sets them up to close out the season as well. Elsewhere on this site, I'm reading E-Lo, Garland, Bart. I can't find official word from JM. Anyone know?

Its officially ELO< JG AND BC. Your scenario isnt an option.

ELo, Garland, BC were the SP's given by Hawk during the Sox broadcast yesterday. Minnesota will counter with Radke, Rogers, Lohse.

Rogers and Lohse are both capable of being bombed.

Let's do it.

Tex, youre forgetting we have not gone to a 4 man rotation yet. Your scenario would only leave BC and MB with 3 days rest. It is too early for that.

Rogers and Lohse are both capable of being bombed.

I thought the same thing. Not facing Santana or Milton is a f***ing HUGE break.

SOOO glad we dont have to see Santana either. :headbang

Amen to that. He is one bad ass pitcher. There is absolutely no tell between his fastball and his change.

Rogers and Lohse are both capable of being bombed.

Let's do it.

Not to mention we just missed Pedro and Lowe in the BOston series. Maybe fate?

And Mark Prior in both of the Cubs Series....

Not fate, it was the fact that Boston is looking to match up with other teams in their division.

We beat him in '02. We'd have beaten him again ;)

The way I see it thats part of fate. I just think we are getting lucky with some of these pitching matchups and lets all pray in the end it pays off.

That quote a few weeks back from JM saying that before the season is our Garland will play a major role is coming true. :cheers

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't believe Boston skipped anyone in their rotation or had another pitcher spot start against the White Sox. Not facing Pedro and Lowe is just the way it worked out.

We won the game earlier in June that Pedro started anyway ;)

I can't believe how much the frickin worse team in baseball history is going to have in our making the playoffs.

I like the matchups against Minny, I like the rotation with E-Lo getting us off and Bart in what will be the biggest game of the series/year to this point.

Every scenario has game three as huge

0-2 we really really have to win or it's all over

1-1 we need the edge to be plus or minus 1 1/2 game

2-0 sweep baby and they're riding shotgun, almost in the backseat.

I think the Twins are making a big mistake using Santana tonight against the Tribe instead of tomorrow against the Sox. :headbang

Big, big mistake.

Big, big mistake.

Agreed. LIke i said a few days ago, it really does remind me of the MB/Cotts debacle. Hopefully, with the same result.
