  1. Hate to say it, but it's a team effort to win, and it's a team effort to lose, too. The pitching was fine, but once again the offense mentally beats itself to death. I wonder how many of our Sox hitters (+Ozzie) are going to end up in a mental institution when their careers come to a close...
  2. ball 1 = strike 1 this ump sucks donkeys tits edit: post 1500 for thread
  3. OH NOEZ PHARMIO... TEH MAREENER MOOSE HAS LOST HIS ANTULERS!!!
  4. Second time in a row Bacon K's on 3 pitches Is he gassed?
  5. FINALLY DJ and Farmer have turned on the humor lmfao Ed: "Captain Crunch is at home plate" DJ: "that would be awesome"
  6. unless it runs down his leg... then Gutierrez loses
  7. This game is a laugher. Rios robbed of his 2nd Sox hit. How long will this circus last?
  8. If it takes dropping Beckham to #3 to NEVER see him bunt EVER again, I'm all for it. This team puts too much stock into the "2-hole hitter needs to always be a situational hitter" philosophy. They shouldn't. Beckham hits the ball hard, that works too... ya know.
  9. If it weren't for the fact that we're tied, I wouldn't be laughing so much right now. Baseball is a b*tch.
  10. See, we're not the only team that SUCKS ASS in these situations. We give the Mariners 5 outs and they don't score. How pathetic is that?
  11. what new at least he's being consistently terrible.
  12. There you go. Beckham > Pods with RISP, and the bottom of our lineup does a pretty damn good job getting on base. When your worst hitter is Chris Getz, you're pretty damn good.
  13. Beckham Ramirez Quentin Thome Konerko Pierzynski Dye Rios Getz
  14. I agree with the premise of this thread, and I would also like to add that I feel that management has done the proper job putting this team in a position to win. It's all up to the players now. With the talent this group possesses, there is no doubt in my mind that this team should, in the very least, be a half a dozen games above .500.
  15. IMO, we cannot guess what kind of contract Rios would receive if he were an FA this offseason until getting to the offseason. Rios still has time in the season to make himself seem more or less valuable. In the grand scheme of things, I really think we got a gem of a player. Remember how much the entire league was pretty much drooling over Alex Rios? He put up the numbers, too!
