Ballpark looks EMPTY on TV. And by empty I mean absolutely empty. Bulls + rain
  5. It's terrible. Cowley has capitalized jumping all over it on Twitter. I hate to say it, but I'm prone to agree with him on this one. It says to me, "come out to the park and enjoy the game regardless of the product on the field." Not a winning attitude.

    Funny ticket promotion

QUOTE (sunofgold @ Feb 19, 2012 -> 09:48 PM) or Ace Ventura, Pet Detective. Maybe we should call Robin ..."Ace" +1! I'm in.

Rumor? - Cubs deny consider playing at the Cell for 2013

QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) the a's started thier 1996 season in las vegas. thanks to rennovations to accomdate the raiders Thanks ewok. It's tricky with baseball. There aren't many parks out there to even remotely match major league capacity. Can anyone honestly see the Cubs playing in Shaumburg or Kane County? I can't.

Rumor? - Cubs deny consider playing at the Cell for 2013

Has any major league club played regular season games at a minor league stadium in recent memory? Anybody know?

Your mood going into the offseason

The Ozzie move definitely makes it a little more exciting. I shut down my Sox brain mid-September and was ready to keep it down until February.

    10th anniversary thread for 9-11

Sitting in first period art class, my first week of high school. We heard it on the radio. I'll never forget that eery silence afterward. The rest of the day was frantic, disorganized. I remember trying to understand the magnitude of it at the time. How could I? "Tower 1 is down. The Pentagon." Watching those faces on TV, my life would never be the same again. The weeks after were different. People actually cared about each other. Suddenly we were all pulling in the same direction. It hurts me to think about it sometimes. About the people trapped in those buildings, the military vets never coming home. It hurts me even more to see us regress into ignorance again. Maybe for one day we can stand together. Be proud of our strength and humble for our freedom. Maybe that day is today.

Gotta give the O's an "A" for effort...

Made it out to Camden last season for Sale's debut. Still one of the most beautiful parks in baseball. Great food, great fans. Nothing wrong with adding a little veteran star power to get the fans excited. God knows they need it. It's not like we're talking about Andruw Jones here ...

Paul Konerko Re-Signs with White Sox

One of the best bats in White Sox history. A class act guy. A poster boy for this era of White Sox teams. A plus ball picker with an at worst, still decent bat. ... and we get to see him etch his place in Sox history for 3 more seasons. Economic value and player comparisions aside. The fan in me loves this move. Glad to see you back captain. You belong here.

    It is here folks...

Is it just me, or does there seem to be an unprecedented amount of 2 and 4 game series here? From first glance, geeze.
