Get well soon Bobby!

It's freakin amazing how hard his saves record is to break. No one can ever get within 3 it seems.

Smoltz got to like 55 last year, didn't he? That's the closest that pratically anyone has ever gotten to it. That record is almost frickin unbreakable

Thigpen's career stats

He had 1 good year after 90...a mediocre year....and then two very, very s***ty years....and that was that.

Did he just wear out his arm that year or what?

Boy, he had great stuff that one year. Saw him at the end of his career, and he clearly wasn't the same pitcher. Last year, I was really pullind against Smoltz to break Thigpen's record.

how drunk was he to fall??? i drank a 1/5 of vanillea vodka last night. lets just say i had the worst dry heaves last night the only thing i ate all day was a chicken rice bowl (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) and i was puked up 1 french fry and that was it for food the rest was alcohol and water (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) i hate flavored vodkas, the only one that settles right is green apple. i was still able to walk straight, and not fall over.

Thigpen was awesome in 1990 and it was so sad that he lost it after that.

I pray he does well and recovers.

Was he drunk or did he slip on the ice? Whatever the situation was, hope he has a speedy recovery.

As for his "Season Saves" record..... that one will fall someday. As a matter of fact, I think a couple of closers were in the 50's last season..... Smoltz and Gagne (sp?) being two of the candidates if memory serves me correctly.

I moved your discussion to off-topic cause you guys weren't really talking about Thigpen anymore.
