6/27 Games #CeaseDay
True and I have no idea if hes any good defensively. Don't most catchers come to the big leagues later though? They take a little more time to develop defensively?

That is from 2016 though. You figure that he could/should have improved in the last 3 years??

6/27 Games #CeaseDay
Is there any data suggesting the Mercedes is a bad defensive catcher? 45% caught stealing. Seems like atleast an average catcher defensively? Or am I way off?

6/27 Games #CeaseDay
According to some soxtalk experts hes a bad defensive catcher and too fat, too old. Seems like he can hit for average and has some decent pop in the minors atleast.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him

Season isn't over yet. Cheers to being average

Future White Sox Lineup #GetExcited
Not saying that he is bad at all but hes not on the Cole, Strasburg, Baumgardner level. Always feel like we should be going after the top talent in free agency especially when it seems this team is almost ready to compete.

Future White Sox Lineup #GetExcited
That would be a Sox type of signing on the bargain rack free agents isle. Hasn't worked out for them yet.

I agree. I think the organizational thought is to not give more than 5 years to pitchers. The Danks contract kind of anchored that consensus.

Sox vs Nats - 6/11/19 7:10pm
Not sure where to put this Alleged Domestic Abuser Rapper G Herbo throws out 1st pitch for White Sox. The guy allegedly dragged his babys mother outside by her hair while she was pregnant (May 1st). Why is he throwing out the 1st pitch? https://www.tmz.com/2019/05/01/g-herbo-charged-battery-ariana-fletcher-baby-mama-dragged-hair/

Agreed keep him unless someone is willing to over pay

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
No sense arguing about a trade market that you have no idea about. No one knows who will be available. If Colome is the only reliever available then that makes him premium. I don't think anyone is arguing that he is a top 10 closer but maybe in that next group.

Agreed. If you can't get a top 50/75 prospect then keep him.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
What I was saying is that the whole sub 2 era thing is ridiculous when measuring how good a reliever is and that most people have made up their mind on Colome being a great closer or average. I tend to think he is much better than the 72nd reliever in baseball. 13 out of 13 is so far so good. And don't you ever talk shit about Fatt Albers again

Rumor: Cease will be called up "very soon"
Cease starting Mon or Tues?

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
Come on now. Even if he does have a sub 2.00 era would you consider him a premium relief pitcher? You already made your mind up about him. When he is a sub 2.00 which is spectacular you are going to say he doesn't strikeout enough batters or that he only throws 97. Just because the guy isn't Champan doesn't mean he still not really good. Not much difference at his era 2.19 than just under 2.

Closer Injuries and performance can have a big affect between now and the trade deadline. The market can quickly become a sellers market.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
Must have just updated today. Pache was at 33 and Anderson was 30 in the top 100 and 3 and 4 in Atlanta's system.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
I guess I'm talking offensive numbers. Rutherford is a pretty good outfielder but doesn't compare to Pache.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
And you think Pache has shown power? Truth is before this year Rutherford & Pache had pretty similar numbers. Only difference was Rutherford is 1 years older.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
You think Pache is "a little rich" but Ian Anderson who is rated higher than Pache is good?

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
Or Christian Pache
