  1. Agreed, but they should. He’s a misplayed ball / injury waiting to happen in LF.
  2. DH Eloy with an outfield of Mazara / Robert / Benintendi.
  3. It’s not happening but it would be amazing. Eloy at DH would keep him healthy. Stick Mazara in LF and Moncada in RF. Both the offense and defense would be greatly improved.
  4. A Price/Benintendi acquisition would make me stomach the Mazara trade, if he is staying, which I assume he is regardless.
  5. We should be able to make some comparisons on prices for alternative outfield options to Mazara shortly (re: Calhoun and Dickerson)... https://mobile.twitter.com/CraigMish/status/1204858529451888640
  6. Price would be my guess as well. I doubt it is Mazara being flipped.
  7. You crack me up. But yeah, these cocky discussions are as funny as their confidence on Machado last offseason.
  8. From the high of Grandal... To the low of missing Wheeler... To being excited about Joc and Ozuna but ultimately ... To the low of acquiring Mazara... Maybe this next trade will be good? ?
  9. I wasn’t being negative at all. I remember seeing the Sox offer being “over $120 million” in several articles. So it was $125 million. Congrats, you caught my error in the amount of money the Sox did not actually spend.
  10. It sure doesn’t seem like anyone has any sources ever since the Joc Pederson trade fell through last year.
  11. No, I didn’t. Your analogy sucked.
  12. The Phillies signed Wheeler for $118 million. The Sox supposedly offered him $120 million. Wheeler sucks. Great logic. Either both the Phillies and Sox are stupid or Wheeler doesn’t suck. However, I will choose a different option — that your post is idiotic.
  13. For a front office that cries poor so often, I sure wish they would have cried poor with Abreu and simply stuck with the qualifying offer for 2020.
  14. Vaughn looks like a much better draft pick if the Sox don’t needlessly give Abreu a 3-year, $50 million dollar extension.
  15. Because the Sox don’t work like this. They didn’t acquire a much cheaper Mazara for RF to throw $80-$100 million at Castellanos.
  16. Hahn lost me with his “good defense” comment right at the end of the video. C’mon, Rick...
  17. Good point, unless they think Vaughn will be traded it makes no sense. Vaughn has to play somewhere if he isn’t dealt and that would be 1B or DH.
  18. Haha, and in less than half a season of plate appearances, we don’t even want Cordell.
  19. That isn’t happening, lol. Calm your ass.
  20. I’ll believe it when I see it. Your suggestion of Chris Taylor is more likely. He would be a good target. Right-handed bat, good hitter, can play everywhere, and will only earn around $5 million via salary arbitration increase. The Dodgers could look to trade him with their overloaded infield and outfield.
  21. It appears Mazara is their starting RF, at least against righties. Where else can they add a full-time player? DH?
  22. Agreed, it will be a bench righty outfielder who hits lefties well, not a legit starter quality outfielder.
  23. Hmmm, I read it and interpreted as they may acquire a right-handed bench bat to complement Mazara in RF.
  24. No, because there still was no reason the Sox couldn’t do better than Mazara and I’m sticking to that. ??
