  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 30, 2007 -> 04:22 PM) Not only is he better than Benson, but he's a Sox fan! Let's sign Brock Forsey and every one game wonder the NFL has ever had!!!!!
  2. Gordon with 25 off the bench. Amazes me how good he is off the bench and how inconsistent when starts.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 30, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) Ha, nah, I caught an elbow playing ball yesterday. Blood everywhere, good times. Good to hear that you didn't need Dunkin Donuts. Did need 2 Monsters though.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 30, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) This undrafted RB the Saints have ... Pierre Thomas ... has 3 times more heart and drive than Cedric Benson. And 100 times the O-Line

    The dialogue in the commercials alone for "One Missed Call" tells me it is a suckfest. "You hear your death and than you die."
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 30, 2007 -> 01:34 PM) I'm good besides a broken nose. Still in Carbondale though to see us lose our first conference game today. Graves fought back? I had enough energy to drive home after the game with no problem.
  7. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 30, 2007 -> 11:38 AM) Was kind of surprised to hear that Michigan DC Ron English was very interested in the SIU job to the point of having Lloyd Carr and a couple of other people make calls for him and he got zero interest. I'm not sure what kind of coach SIU got, but I have no doubt Ron English will make a good head coach someday soon. He's young, charismatic, recruits well and did a good job for Michigan. The spread caused Michigan defenses problems for sure, but it pretty much does for everybody. Injuries and inexperience really hurt his defense this year, but none of that will keep him from becoming a HC. Interesting. Coach Dale Lennon was hired from North Dakota State where he was very successful at 1-A level. If English got no interest from SIU, I find that worth of a head scratch. I think it is a good hire for SIU football, either way.
  8. TD Maroney, 16-0, Starters probably done for NE now.
  9. Eli INT. Awful effort by Burress though.
  10. Ha. Moss drops a deep pass, than next play, Brady goes back to him for a huge TD and Pats go ahead. Where is Butler on the coverage? Yikes.
  11. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 29, 2007 -> 09:24 PM) Whitney Young is amazing. Almost too much talent. They have 4 D1 guards on their roster. It's going to be hard for anyone to beat them come March. This is the best I have seen them play all year. HF maybe tired. They had had a very tough road to the title game.
  12. Kevin Dillard (SIU) and Homewood Flossmor take on Marcu Jordan and Whitney Young tonight in the Proviso West Tournament Finals. On Comcast at 7pm. Channel 37 in Lake County.
  13. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 29, 2007 -> 07:33 AM) sounds like paul is going to be a good one. He is going to have to get stronger. All the ability in the world but at the next level could get pushed around a tad.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 06:40 PM) Yes...played some basketball (shooting around, not playing an actual game) on my knee today...no complications. WHOOOO, slowly yet surely getting closer to 100%. I have friends who came from ACL tears and played ball like nothing ever happened. No clue how they did it. I have awful knees and ankles and am tentative with those. Guess I am mentally weak.

    QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 11:35 PM) Ya, so Juno rocked my socks off. What a fantastic movie. Have the next week with nothing to do. Gonna see this, No Country for Old Men, Sweeney Todd, and NATIONAL TREASURE 2!!!
  16. New Years Eve is overrated unless it falls on Fri or Sat. I'll watch the ball drop in NY than fall asleep.
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) We're playing Russian Roulette if we lose tonight. Unfortunately, I won. Disastrous.
  18. Off to hang out in Carbondale for lots of bball today. Go Dawgs!

  20. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 10:57 AM) ....don't be an ROH Street Teamer, Brian..... RKO > ROH
  21. QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 28, 2007 -> 10:51 AM) Coming in to work today was a complete waste of time. Almost no one here, nothing to do except useless "mid-year reviews". Awful. And since I have to take the train to my wife's job to pick up the kid, then take two trains back to my car and slog home through the snow, I should enjoy a fabulous 3-hour commute home. In the absence of the vomit smiley, these will have to suffice: Sorry, Critic. Play some ROH DVDs on your computer.

    Merry Christmas

    QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 27, 2007 -> 10:50 PM) A few days late - seems to be the norm these days :-) Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Was hoping my name would be used for a boy, Steff. Freudian slip?
