  1. Nice Fisk statue. I still remember the day I got his autograph and an SIU/ISU baseball game. His son, Casey, was getting shelled and he was walking in the parking lot with his dog. I was like 10 years old and too nervous to go ask him. I knew the SIU baseball coach so I got a ball from him for Carlton to sign but was still too shy. Than some hot college girl offered to go with me, so I did. He signed in right away and I have it right here in a ball case.
  2. His kind of town? Aug 4 - The White Sox are still in hot pursuit of the Reds' Ken Griffey Jr., the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Chicago reportedly had been trying to land the 35-year-old center fielder before the non-waiver deadline. According to The Chicago Tribune, Griffey is owed $12.5 million each year through 2008. The Reds hold a $16.5 million option or $4 million buyout for 2009.
  3. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Aug 6, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) look out for purdue as a darkhouse in the big 10 With that cupcake schedule, they should be.
  4. Crede is probably just Designated, not a Hitter.
  5. Does Gail Fischer have one too many buttons unbottoned on that jacket?
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) We faced 3 good Oakland pitchers. Three good Detroit pitchers. A couple of deceent Toronto pitchers. Listen. We've scored 5 or more runs at home in 10 of our last 15 home games. THAT IS NOT AN OFFENSIVE SLUMP. We just havne't been winning all the close games. It's just a little team slump, and in between, we've played great at home. I should specify that I want our home play to improve. We scored a bunch in Baltimore, but something goes wrong at home for some reason.
  7. AT the way our offense approach is going, Aaron Small will look like a young David Cone against us in NY.
  8. Way to make it easy for them. Enter Eddie.
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) And we are still 34-21 at home. It's a slump. It happens. Offensive slumps happen for a weak or so, not 3 weeks or so.
  10. Great AB against the new pitcher, Aaron.
  11. I kind of like Iguchi vs. Nelson with the way Gooch goes to right.
  12. Pods never lays off those high heaters.
  13. Bunt single, anyone?
  14. Take him the other way, Juan.
  15. I'd say, "Lets get some hits together", but than Crede decided to swing away and pop up.
  16. Cute girl in a black shirt behind Sox dugout. Look out for big thread on her tomorrow.
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) How can they take DJ seriously like that? I couldn't take DJ seriously with his normal look.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) In his last 7 games he's been hitting a whopping .158. That's his first HR in that timespan. Check his stats since the All Star break. Lots of homers, I bet.
  19. Damnit, Aaron! Stop swinging at the first pitch!
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) Just got home from work. And I'm going to refrain from starting a personal attack...so just back off. Traffic must have been a b****.
  21. Pods pop ups, 1 out. Tada-hootie?
  22. New delivery for Piniero, with the over head windup. Usually keeps the ball at his side until he delivers.
  23. Half an inning and fathom isn't here to complain about anything, yet.
