  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) BTW, John Beilein is a dumbass. You have a team that has no good 3 pt shooters and you have your team do nothing but jack up 3 pt shots. Smart coaching. He has a kid, Matt Vogrich, who is deadly from behind the arc and was an All Stater last year, yet never plays him. Leaves Douglas and Novak out there to punish the rims with their bricks.
  2. QUOTE (T R U @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 08:13 PM) Brian, from what ive seen/heard lately it looks like Orton is getting that Austin status where hes essentially a heel yet the fan will cheer for him.. He has been getting a lot of cheers recently, and at the same time ide hardly say he was doing anything a face would do.. True. When he gave Sheamus the RKO on Raw a few weeks ago, that pop was huge.

    QUOTE (SnB @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 08:15 PM) any idea what "you've got what it takes" is referring to? Guessing we will find out. Doesn't ring a bell from past episodes.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 07:37 PM) Ah yeah, Shea Weber just hit a slapper so hard it went THROUGH the net only leaving black stains on the cord. I dont think I've ever seen that before. 2 words: Fulton Reed
  5. Illinois/Michigan has been unwatchable. Belein continues to leave struggling offensive players in the game. WTF
  6. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 05:31 PM) If he could of stayed healthy, it could of been a real possibility. Hell, he had a title run lined up. At one point he was over enough, hell I was a fan. Right now, there's no guy who hasn't been in the title picture that I'd give he honor of ending the streak. The only guys who I'd consider for it would be: Edge, Jericho, Punk & HBK. But none of these guys would get a major rub from it, well other than Punk who deserves a legit title run sooner or later. Punk would be the only younger guy I would think should end it as a rub.

    Read some tidbits about what we may see tonight. Interesting.
  8. QUOTE (The Critic @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 10:55 AM) I see your point, but after all these years I don't see the value in ending the streak. And I wasn't talking about just any young guy ending it. The scenario would have to all line up - young guy, locked in a longer-term deal, already getting over with the fans but in need of that one WTF moment to send it to another level. It would have to be someone on the cusp of breaking out. I don't know who fits that bill right now in the E. Although, really, it seems that more of the moments that "make" guys come from promos or gimmick matches. Could you imagine if they booked Kennedy to end Taker's streak at one of the Manias? Would of been a disaster.
  9. QUOTE (The Critic @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 03:27 AM) It makes no sense to end Taker's Mania streak at this point, especially to Michaels. If they were going to do it at all, it would make more sense to have a young guy who they see as the future of the company end the streak. To have a close-to-done wrestler end the other close-to-done wrestler's streak is just pointless. I'm the opposite side. It would be a big risk to have an up and comer end the streak. It is similar to "retiring" Flair. I feel the streak ending to a veteran is more believable and acceptable if it is at the hands of a veteran like HBK. Wanna push a young guy? Take away the title stipulation in the Rumble and have someone win it. Or bring back King of the Ring.
  10. QUOTE (T R U @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) To be honest I really just didnt want them to make him look bad but it didnt happen that way.. Also, Taker VS HBK 2 is official now.. and this time its Streak VS Career.. interesting Very interesting. Both guys are said to be taking time off after Mania and the way they are building it up already, I would be cool if Shawn broke the streak. I originally thought that Taker should retire as undefeated at Mania, but screw that.
  11. QUOTE (T R U @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 08:33 PM) wow I am DISGUSTED that they are turning on Orton Chill out, mark. Ha I don't really want Orton to be a full blown babyface to be honest. It was awful the first time.
  12. Who on here posted that they thought Taj was the worst draft pick ever after only a week or so of play? I have a feeling I know but not accusing anyone. The guy knows what he is doing, doesn't try and do to much, knows his role and is very good at it. It Tyrus had Taj's brain, I wonder what could of been.

  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 03:59 PM) What is Cowley's twitter? The only one I could find was a Joe Cowley who's last tweet was about Linebrink in Sep. 2008. cst_sox
  15. This is totally gonna ruin team chemistry between Toews and Kane.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 06:05 PM) USA USA USA USA. f*** YOU CANADA
  17. QUOTE (SnB @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 10:43 AM) so the game's on msnbc tonight and i don't get msnbc HD (if there is such a thing).....LAAAAAAAAME msnbcHB on U-verse is 1215, oh you don't get that? Oh wait, I don't get MLB Network. Why is this game not on regular NBC?
  18. Some funny stuff that Gonzalez is reporting on twitter.... -Jake Peavy, surveying his locker row that includes Buehrle, Linebrink, Jenks: "We got a lot of rednecks around here.'' -andruw jones "i'm the best CF you have here." J Cora: "you should. only pitcheres and catchers are here." One from Cowley... -Oz on Damon: "I knew when A.J. was hanging around him we weren't going to get him."

    QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 12:23 PM) I saw Funny People yesterday. The 2nd half of that film was incredibly weak. It was probably Adam Sandler's best turn since Punch Drunk Love, but the character was taken in some radically unlikable directions. I hated EVERY character in that movie.

    QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) Watched District 9 on blu ray last night. First time we watched it at the theater but I think I enjoyed it more the 2nd time around. Brian, give it another chance after a while and check it out again. I think I may of liked it better in the theatre. I'll watch it again when it comes to HBO or whatever.
  21. He doesn't owe the public an apology IMO. Didnt hurt my feelings. He needs to apologize to Elin and his family. Not sure what people expected his statement to be like.
