  1. So close for Temple. Would of loved to see the Hoyas go down.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) We just want a chance to go out and play the big teams without that throwaway 2nd game in the contract(which the major schools always buy out). SIU has beaten a lot of big programs in the past few years as well. Indiana, UMASS, VTech, Texas Tech, Georgia, @ Butler, Could of beaten UConn with Caron Butler, I don't even want to mention the Kansas game, but coulda won that. Also shoulda beat Missouri that one year in the tourney. The latest stuff with Weber is irritating, not wanting to come to SIU or whatever. They let Edwardsville and NIU go to Champaign, but won't agree to go there probably.
  3. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 03:58 PM) http://thebiglead.com/?p=28563#more-28563 You stay classy Rich Rod! Seriously though, I refuse to believe that a team that Lloyd Carr built and recruited, and who soundly defeated Florida before Florida became the team that can do everything including finding a cure of cancer, is all of a sudden devoid of any talent. Were they on an elite leve? No, probably not. But they certainly were not a team that for 2 years now has been atrocious (and this coming from a guy that has to watch and root for f'n Illinois, who soundly beat them). You know what happened? The idiot from WV decided to throw the winningest program in history upside down in order to play HIS style of football (which I maintain is on its way out and by the time he gets "his" guys in there, they'll be average at best anyway) and in the process pissed of a bunch of GOOD players who left the program and/or had no interest in joining the program. Has there been a spread offense/wildcat team that's been succesful against teams not named western michigan, central michigan, or whatever other no-named team that Michigan plays each year? Is that crap going to work against the likes of PSU, OSU, Wisky, etc for the long term? (answer: no). Michigan's offense hasn't been the problem. The spread had worked for the most part. It's the "spread" defense that is losing games for Michigan. Next year, they bring back practically everyone. IF RichRod can't win next year, than he will be gone.
  4. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 01:36 PM) And your winner is.. . . . . Zach Greinke! Good. As long as it wasn't Sabathia.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 10:58 AM)
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 07:38 AM) didnt get to watch HIMYM last night, but sounds like its gonna be a damn good one... finally caught last week's Ruins episode, it was entertaining, nothing special. But looks like tommorrow's should be good, and that someone who just earned a free trip to the finals is about to earn himself a free trip home instead... The fight is between
  7. Maybe Bears should of offered a 2nd rounder for Shaun Rogers instead of Gaines Adams? Don't know Rogers contract status though.

    LOST!!!!

    QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 09:19 PM) So the wife and I are starting completely over from the first episode to rewatch everything before the next round of LOST starts again. I won't be getting Season 5 on DVD til Christmas. I will probably just watch those again before S6
  9. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 08:14 PM) Another no-call at the end of the game. Miami's coach was just in shock, I wouldn't be surprised if he asked Calipari at the end there, "did you pay more for Wall or the refs?". Did the guy get fouled on the heave? The camera work I saw was awful.
  10. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 07:17 PM) Pretty epic HIMYM so far. I think this could be one of my favorites of all-time simply for the fact that it's a Barney-centric episode. Agreed 100%
  11. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 07:16 PM) Miami(OH) is just getting hosed against Kentucky. They were up 33-18 and the refs have taken over. 13 fouls for Miami to 3 for Kentucky and all the sudden it's 39-38. Found it on one of my alternate channels. You aren't kidding. Have had it on for 5 minutes and some odd traveling calls.

    Films Thread

    QUOTE (longshot7 @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 05:51 PM) saw that art movie 2012 - funniest movie I've seen in a while. I figured it would be a cinematic achievment of epic proportions.
  13. Coastal Carolina dominating Duke...6-0...wait, now its 6-4, damn. Was thinking Duke is more likable now that Paulus is gone...than they tipped off.
  14. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 04:39 PM) He's indicated that he doesn't want to come off the bench. Is there a team that he could start for? Golden State or the Clippers
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 11:12 AM) That's some hot 3 way action. Hell yeah.
  16. Did Wes Welker change his name to Julian Edelman?
  17. "Curb Your ENthusiasm" has been on for 10 minutes and it has been awesome. "It's been 3 years! I made a mistake! I'm sorry!"
  18. That Romo pass got me a cheap win this week. That said, I was 4 Tomlinson rush yards away from a 6 point ponus.
  19. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 15, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) Well that was disappointing. Offense just never got going today. Give credit to Capers for bringing the heat from the secondary and with the LB's, but if Williams doesn't fumble that, could have been a whole diff story. Luckily the Eagles also lost for us. He had the worst "good" game ever. His drops were ridiculous and he clearly wasn't holding the ball very tight for it to come out when he got slapped on the shoulder.
