QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 08:18 PM) I enjoyed Jackie Brown when it came out. But it is rightly considered as a second-tier effort compared to Tarantino's most inspired stuff. Agreed. I liked it in the theatre, got it on DVD, and it just isn't really a re-watchable movie, IMO. My QT Movie Rankings: 1. Pulp Fiction 2. Inglorious Basterds 3. Kill Bill Volume 2 4. Resivoir Dogs 5. Kill Bill Volume 1 6. Jackie Brown 7. Death Proof Top 4, I can watch over and over.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 30, 2009 -> 10:03 AM) Today I have a fantasy draft. It's a 16 team league and the winner gets $1180. I'm going to try to go for Barber, then Boldin/Jennings, then Rice/McFadden. Wish me luck. Wow, 16 is a lot. I do a pay league with the same ten guys every year and this year we recruited two more to make it 12. And I thought that was a lot.
  3. Sorry to break up the monotony of the QB arguement, but I used to hate Ochocinco, but after watching Hard Knocks, I love that guy. He is awesome. Child please...
  4. As selfish as I am that I wanna see him pitch in a Sox uni this year, shut em down. Smartest thing.
  5. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Aug 29, 2009 -> 11:08 AM) Last night, Punk may have taken Jericho's spot as top heel. If anyone gets a chance, watch the end of the cage match with Hardy, then skip past Hardy's farewell speech. That was awesome. I thought it was gonna fade out as Hardy was waving goodbye.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 29, 2009 -> 06:57 AM) If Bischoff wanted to come back to WWE, I think Vince would hire him on in a second. Bischoff is a complete heat magnet whenever he is on the screen, the crowds hate his guts and he eats it up. Agreed. Would love to see him back on TV.
  7. This is frustrating cuz we are getting walked off on. It's not like we're getting dominated.

    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 02:43 PM) Title of Episode 1 of Season 6: I read about this last week. I love it. Will have people talking about it until the premiere.
  10. QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 09:41 PM) Well apparently Mysterio was against dropping the title so soon because when he had his WHC run he didnt hold the title long enough and wanted a decent run with the IC belt. I mean him failing a wellness test. Anyone who has watched Rey throughout the years knew he was on something.
  11. QUOTE (T R U @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 07:59 PM) Rey Mysterio suspended 30 days for wellness violation.. ide expect Ziggler to be IC Champion next Smackdown Shocked....that it wasn't sooner.
  12. Thome could of scored on that...couldn't he?
  13. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 08:01 PM) Who is that in your avatar with Jericho? Is that the Mabel guy from Men On a Mission who had the fake eye or whatever? OT, but just wondering. Shaq
  14. 94 pitches already. For a 9-0 lead in the 5th inning, Danks needs to be more efficient.
  15. Ortiz loaning Alex Gonazalez his HgH?
  16. I didn't realize Bay was only hitting .258.
  17. QUOTE (The Critic @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 12:31 PM) As a nice companion piece, read "The Death of WCW" by Bryan Alvarez. It gives lots of examples of the horrible mismanagement, ego trips and ego clashes, foolish spending and loads of other mis-steps that led to wCw going down the drain. Heard there is a lot of BS propoganda in that book. I'd read it if I could find a cheap copy.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 08:25 AM) I'm going out on a limb and saying "Inglorious Basterds" is Quentin Tarantino's best film. It avoided the cliches and annoyances of his past flicks (don't get me wrong, I enjoy most, such as RD, PF, KB, etc). I think Basterds will go down as his best film, and will stand the test of time for obvious reasons. The dramatic elements were actually quite believable in this one, and the cinematography was top-notch. I can see this film being studied for years. What an impressive, enjoyable film. From the very first shot, the cinematography stood out to me as well. The entire background of Germany and France looked wonderful as well. From the country to the cities. I still love Pulp Fiction but Basterds could be a close 2n to me.
  19. QUOTE (The Critic @ Aug 27, 2009 -> 07:48 AM) Dixie Carter makes her on-screen debut on Impact tonight. She's no Velvet Sky, but she's very attractive....for an older broad.... Velvet Sky > All
  20. I would understand if we shut him down, but I don't want to wait til March or April to see him pitch in a Sox uniform for the first time. That's me being selfish.
  21. Not too late to fire Walker. Today's mindset at the plate against a knuckle baller was ridiculous and clearly showed no sign of preperation.
  22. Is anyone telling Alexei to go the other way and stop trying to hit a bomb off this guy? He isn't gonna make solid contact.
