    QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:07 PM) I was looking forwrad to going to the show tonight, but there is nothing out right now that looks interesting. The video store is even worse. This summer has been brutal.
  5. DVR's the new episodes of 2009 WSOP. Off to watch.
  6. Sorry, Mark. Bunch of hacks playing behind you.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 09:00 PM) UNF***IN BELIEVABLE... it's just a never ending cycle at this horrible F***in place!!!!!!!!! This is getting kind of annoying. It's been us the first two games, not the dome.
  8. Saw Mauer's replay. Kotsay woulda caught it.
  9. If Thome is out, maybe we should DH Pods.
  10. Gameday shows Ball 4 right down the middle. I take it that is wrong.
  11. Can the Cubs get luckier? Oswalt leaves after 1.1 innings with back injury.
  12. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 07:21 PM) Mark perfect thru 0.1 IP. Jinxed.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:45 PM) If it's Fields and Hudson for Sherrill, that would be an awful trade!! You mention the addition of Luke Scott
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:02 PM) My prediction is we're going to see Fields and a big prospect like Hudson sent to Baltimore for Sherrill, and it wouldn't surprise me if KW expands the deal to include someone like Scott or Huff. I'd be down for this.
  15. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 05:41 PM) How long has Thome had a weak back? Since about a week back. /rim shot
  16. QUOTE (son of a rude @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 05:53 PM) I'm sure he is smart enough to see that the pen is desperate for lefties, especially with Thornton expecting his kid. That is what I think he meant. If it is late and they need an out vs. Mauer or Morneau, Richard would be available.
  17. I hope they don't just dump Josh. I think he has some value to a team that can help him with his swing.

    Jonah Hill is new on my list of "People I would like to punch in the face for no reason".
  19. According to WEEI, the Red Sox are close to a trade that would send Cliff Lee to Boston for a package of Michael Bowden, Josh Reddick, and one more prospect. The Red Sox have reportedly dangled Clay Buchholz in a package for Roy Halladay, but would be better off swinging this deal instead. Bowden, 22, has a 3.09 ERA and a 64/35 K/BB ratio in 18 starts for Triple-A Pawtucket. Reddick is batting .269/.346/.510 with 13 homers for Double-A Portland. It's a decent haul for the Tribe, but not nearly what the Blue Jays are demanding for their ace. We'll keep you updated. Jul. 28 - 6:26 pm et
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 04:20 PM) Favre will stay retired. It's finally, officially, mercifully dead. Vikings coach Brad Childress announced Tuesday that free agent Brett Favre has decided to stay retired. Childress says Favre cited the "daily grind" as the main reason he won't keep playing. "I just think it was a rare opportunity to explore a Hall of Fame quarterback," Childress said of why the Vikings pursued the indecisive 39-year-old. "This doesn’t change anything about how I feel about our football team." The decision isn't as shocking as it would've been a month ago, but it's still a stunner. Favre has detested surgery since his 1996 painkillers addiction, but went through with a biceps operation in May anyways. We're definitely not expecting a teary "goodbye" press conference this time around. Jul. 28 - 4:59 pm et
