  1. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 02:21 PM) Casey, LeCroy, Manny Jogging out of the box. Get us some more of Aardsma's woman.
  2. I sincerly think he might be one of the 5 slowest runners in the game. Can anyone name 5 slower guys? Bengie Molina is the only one that comes to mind instantly.
  3. Should have been on 3rd there, bad baserunning, better not cost us a run.
  4. I think Pablo throws up the safe sign on any play he's involved in at first base.
  5. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 01:48 PM) Aardsma's GF. (note the 54) Great body. Where'd you even find that?
  6. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 01:46 PM) Entering today's game Thome has a 1.255 career OPs against Nate Who's the chick in your signature?
  7. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) This isn't technically recruiting, but I have seen a few rumos Tyler Smith is leaving Iowa. Anyone have a scoop? I've heard similar rumors. I've also heard he might put his name in the draft, which would be a huge mistake.
  8. How can anyone not be a fan of Mark Buehrle?
  9. So how would I go about figuring my liability?
  10. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 08:23 PM) Well done. Well done. I wouldn't worry. You could drag dogs*** through a pile of cream and crimson and it would be better than the Illini's starting backcourt, right, Boz? I love you. But, let's ease back on the Kool Aid...I'm worried about all that sugar for you. This has nothing to do with Illinois or IU. All I'm saying is that the game I saw him play, he didn't start for his team, he didn't do much if anything and they got beat by 40. Why I should be impressed or convinced that he is one of the best sophomores in the land or that he could go anywhere he wants is beyond me. He looked like a normal high school player out there, that's pretty much what I'm saying. Maybe he just had a bad game.
  11. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) Having watched him, he is certainly legit. He will be no superstar, but trying to put him down by say he's "just a 3 star on Rivals" is just dumb. For starters, Rivals really doesn't update much for classes that are still a few years away. He is ranked as high as in the 30's in other databases. Then making a reference to him against Eric Gordon is idiotic. Pretty much no sophmore is going to be able to keep up with one of the best seniors in the country. Just look at it this way, he wasmaybe the best player on a nationally ranked high school basketball team... as a sophmore. He's good, and he going to be able to go to most any school he wants. Why wasn't he starting if he's as good as the 30th best sophomore in the country and a 4-star prospect. And there's no way they should have been ranked, they got embarassed by 40 on national TV. High school national rankings by team really mean nothing. I'm not putting the kid down, I'm sure he's a solid player and also a nice kid, but I saw him as well and there's no way he's one of the best sophomores in the country. Maybe he's a top 100 guy down the line, but I basically didn't see much from him at all. Perhaps the snide remark from Addy warranted a snide response.
  12. I have around 50 shares of company stock from a previous employer, which were purchased with after-tax funds at a 15% discount and also under the premise that I would pay taxes on the 15% discount if I sold the shares before holding them for two years (not even sure what that means, if someone wants to explain, I'm all ears). I want to go ahead and move the stock and it hasn't been two years. My question for somebody who knows, what are the repercussions tax wise on selling stock in general? In other words, I don't want a big surprise come tax time next year. I believe the total value of these holdings is around $1,400 or so, nothing big, but a solid chunk of change that I'd like to have and I also want to make sure I'm aware of all of the factors so I don't get any surprises. Kap, Mike, Jas?
  13. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 05:08 PM) That's why they're Scout and you aren't. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=169&p=8&a...amp;nid=2431427 I guess if getting minutes in garbage time and getting posterized a couple of times by EJ makes you a 4-star, then he's a 4-star. He's just a 3-star on Rivals, IIRC.
  14. IIRC, the younger Jordan didn't even start on his high school team this year the game I saw against North Central and when he did get into the game, I saw nothing that warranted 4-star consideration.
  15. When I get some time, I may try and put together a formal letter to send on to perhaps Brooks as well as whoever is in charge of the MLB.com website. If anyone has anything specific they want included, please let me know.
  16. The continuing saga of Brian Anderson...I don't see this ending well.
  17. Couldn't have happened to a better man... Congrats Mark B
