Tried the S-video this past weekend. TV and Laptop both had the S-Video hook up, my DVR was already plugged into my TV using S-Video. I simply unplugged it from the back of the DVR and into the laptop. Watched a few episodes of Entourage in Windows Media Player and it was great quality. Anyone know how I can run the sound from the laptop through the TV as well? Also for those who are worried about the speed on the premium package for MLB.tv, there is a bandwidth test you can perform on your connection and it will recommend the best package for you. I think you only need 700K of bandwidth for the premium and mine checked out at like 2500 K or something so I'm thinking I should be golden. If you want to check your bandwidth, go here http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/mlbtv.jsp and then under the product demo on the screen click on the link that says check your bandwidth.

If anyone is nearing the end of their XM subscription, give them a call and request to cancel (even if you are planning to renew). They'll offer you a full year at half price. I just called and that is the deal I got. And I was actually going to cancel but once they offered me a year for $77, I went ahead and took it.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 01:07 PM) S-Video. You can get a 12 foot cord for around 20 bucks. There's also wireless connectors that you can use but most of them will run you upwards of $120. How will the quality translate? I plan on getting the mlb.tv premium package, so all I will need to do is get a S-video hookup from my laptop and hook it to the TV? Will I need any software?

How do you connect the computer to the TV? Is there another way to do it besides using the Slingbox?

Eli Holman moved up to a 4 star in the new Rivals 150, he's rated 80, thats up about 30 spots. McGee held at a 3-star, up three spots to No. 105. And Gordon held at No. 2 overall. As far as Scout goes (they rank Juco's and prep schoolers as well), Gordon is #2, Ellis is #26, Holman #91, Crawford #100 and McGee #105. Real nice class.

I'll be dropping XM if this is the case.

http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines Pretty good stuff. Some of my favorite quotes: "I'm here to win a job" also liked his question when asked about the Angels... "Those days are done, we're here to kick the crap out of them." Also says he's feeling great just needs to get into shape. I think this guy will help us. I love his attitude, he's ready to play and compete.

Williams just doesn't know when to stop, he needs to just shut it.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 02:02 PM) I'd like to think that it sounds wrong to maybe 80% of sane, logical people, but maybe I'm being too hopeful... And I do have a problem with people saying that and thinking that way. I'm definitely not a fan of closedmindedness or bigotry nor the serious problems and consequences that arise because of it. According to amaechi, those comments sort of opened the floodgates and he's recieved much, much more threatening hate-mail. It is wrong to you, maybe to him is it not. Who are you, I or anyone else to tell someone what is right and wrong. That's his own personal decision. Like I said, I don't agree with him, but to just tell someone they are flat out wrong for feeling a certain way, well I just don't agree with that at all. The guy is entitled to think and say what he feels, provided he is ready to deal with the ramifications, as I stated earlier.
-
He can say whatever he wants, not that everyone has to agree with it, but he's entitled to his opinion. For people to say what he said is wrong is ridiculous. It might be wrong according to YOUR view, but if that is the way he feels, that's how he feels. I've really got no problem with what he says, I might not agree with it, but he is entitled to think and say what he wants as long as he is prepared to deal with the ramifications.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 13, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) A good game with Tennessee upseteting Kentucky too. I'd hardly consider that an upset, it was at Tennessee, Tenn was actually favored by 2.5 and you get 3 points for being at home. So basically, it was a wash and it was not an upset. -

I guess Louisville is now on the bubble. Pitt played horrible, I don't see how they are ranked No. 5, that's just an awful loss to get throttled at home like that to a subpar club like Louisville. -

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 12:11 AM) Is it too much for me to expect IU to win both @ Purdue and @ Michigan this week? Is a split a more realistic expectation? I don't see them winning at Purdue. -

Bruce Almighty has some of the worst facial expressions I've ever seen. What's up with the shoes he's wearing? -
She's been brain dead for a while. Sad ending though.

Finch obviously used IU to get them to take some of his Warren Central teammates. It was said to be a package deal. Doubt he ever really wanted to go to IU himself. Kind of a s***ty way to go about things, but oh well. I believe as of yesterday it was down to Michigan and IU and now he is going to Florida. I can't blame the kid from a football perspective at all.

I agree, better than seeing Brady win another SB. You'd think being from Indiana I'd be a Colts fan, but the Bears are my No. 1 love (not a huge football guy though). That said, congrats to the Colts and their fans. Well deserved.

Good luck Nuke and stay safe, you'll be in my thoughts. Also, stay in touch when you can.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 3, 2007 -> 04:16 PM) At least she's hot Who gives a s***? A lot of players have hot girlfriends, they don't show them. Haluska is one of those guys that holds and pushes off to get his shot off. In other words, hope he has something else lined up after graduation. Have fun in the NIT Iowa and enjoy your gift win from lousy officiating. -

How do you call a foul on someone that is 75 feet away? This is f***ing comical. I guess an Iowa win moves them up in the NIT bracket. IU radio announcers talking about how they hope the Big 10 head of officials reviews this game. Worst officiating I've seen in a while. -

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Feb 3, 2007 -> 03:40 PM) This is the worst officiated game I have ever seen. They're calling any and everything, this is by far the worst I've seen this year, probably not the worst ever, but it's pretty terrible. Also Haluska pushes off every damn time down the court, yet they can't call anything on him. Quit showing his girlfriend in the crowd. -
Is there any doubt that Gordon jumps Beasley in the final Rivals 150? I think not. The kid is on a tear.
