Nice win today for the Hoosiers, not that UCONN is anything special, but to get outrebounded like that and still win the game says a lot about how hard they're battling out there. Another solid performance by DJ and Rod once again makes several big shots. Also Bassett got us up early and Mike White played well in his first start. Also some nice clutch free throws by Earl despite not being 100%.

It's funny to listen to Ohio State fans think they are all high and mighty in basketball. It's not like you blew IU away when you got them at home. You won by seven and it was actually a lot closer than that. I believe we led fairly late in that game. In fact IU is pretty much your signature win along with Tennessee. Other than that, you've been beaten (badly by Florida I might add) by the other three top 10 teams you have played. Your non-conference schedule was cream puff. Enjoy your one year of Oden because if you don't win a title this year, you're not going to win one for a long time.

They have Von Maur here in Louisville and I've maybe been in there twice to actually look at anything. Kinda reminds me of Nordstrom's a bit on some of the overpriced crap they carry. Usually if I'm going to spend a lot on Jeans I'll go to Guess. And if I really want to overpay for a nice shirt, I usually try to look for Lacoste when its on sale (very rarely) at Macy's. Big road win on Saturday for the Hoosiers. Penn State played so well early, the Hoosiers took the punch square in the face and were able to grind it out on the road. 14-34 on Three's as a team and 7-17 for Roderick Wilmont to finish with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Just got to love how Rod and AJ stepped up as they saw DJ was nearly taken out of the game by Penn State. Up next: Iowa at home with a chance to move to 4-1 in the Big 10. On a side note, it'll be interesting to see if the pollsters move IU up at all after 2 more wins this week.

I think we had a misunderstanding as far as those guys taking what I said personally (which hardly anything I post is personal, this is a message board people), although I can see why it was taken the way it was. It was meant really for one person and then others responded and it was blown out of proportion. I consider it over and done with. Now, back to regular programming.

It's not fair to criticize an entire fan base based on message board postings of certain idiots who most likely have no affiliation with the university. The Illinois fans I know, Krush, SNB and a few others, seem to all be class individuals. However, there are a few fans on here, who for whatever reason, seem to keep constantly talking on Sampson and IU. My comments earlier were directed at those people, not the people who found it necessary to respond to my post. Those people (Krush and WHarris) should know my comments were not directed at them. As far as Illinois goes, I used to root for the Big 10 teams when they weren't playing IU or Michigan State (whom I cheer for because I am a huge Izzo fan and he is a friend of my family). However, after the whole ordeal that happened with Gordon and what I read on some message boards (some of it here and some on other forums) I have really developed a strong dislike for Illinois based on some of the comments I have read that are not only unnecessary but borderline threats and harassment. That is pretty much my take on the situation.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with Jason's assesment of Owens. To me this guy might be the most overrated prospect we have by many fans. He's nothing better than a 4th outfielder.
