  1. Couldn't have happened to a better man... Congrats Mark B
  2. Think we're seeing a trend here... Mike, Kap, Jas, Heads, or as I like to call you guys, the collective brain of this joint, any ideas on how Soxtalk as a group could go about getting heard by MLB about how they are treating people... This to me is just ridiculous and as big of a community as Soxtalk is, you'd think we could figure something out to get our voices heard.
  3. QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 06:08 PM) I've been in the same boat aboz. They probably have one schmoe answering all the calls. My patience has worn thin with them. My stream sucks. My stream has been decent, my biggest annoyance is how they come back from the commercial break (aka the pacman screen, those of you who are subscribers know what I am referring to) after the inning has already started. Sometimes outs have even been recorded. For $120, I'd hope I could see every pitch in the game, but maybe I'm asking too much.
  4. Anyone have advice for getting an actual human on the phone from MLB.com? I've got some questions regarding my MLB.tv subscription that I need answered, waited last night on hold for a hour and then today for 30 mins and never got a person on the phone. I've also never gotten responses to my emails submitted to their customer service department. After doing a brief google search, I've come to realize that their service is notoriously bad. Anyone have advice for getting a hold of someone or does anyone else share the same frustration? I've had some bad service experiences before, but this is just downright awful.

  6. This Sox fan to Ozzie: Shut the f*** up and manage the team
  7. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 02:53 PM) The media is just looking horrible in this whole incident. Extremely unprofessional. Bad interviews. Bad questions*. Reporting spotty, second-hand details as facts. Just looking like a bunch of opportunistic whores, in general. * My favorite was the question they asked the grad student who shot the camera phone video: "What will you do with your life?" "Uhh...go on with it?" I saw that too, it is pretty pathetic, then again, with no information out there, it's all speculative reporting...Going on the whim all day has got to be tough for a reporter.
  8. MSNBC had an interview with a kid named Trey Perkins who was in a class where shots were fired. Perkins said that his professor and multiple students were shot, the gunman left the room, he and another student went to the door and held it shut. The gunman then tried to re-enter and tried to shoot through the door as Perkins and a classmate tried to hold it shut. After the gunman finally left, he went around and took off his sweatshirt and tried to help people who were bleeding profusely. Remarkable composure from a young man who had just gone through that.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 02:40 PM) The shocking part of this story is the ridiculous accuracy of this gunman. The guy was able to pick off so many people at such a high rate. With two handguns reportedly, correct?
  10. MSNBC says the shooter has been said to have chained the doors of the building so that no one could get out...
  11. Anyone hear any speculation on a motive for this? Someone on MSNBC speculated revenge against a professor or an ex-girlfriend
  12. Prayers go out to anyone involved with this, I'm just speechless.
  13. For BA's sake, the Sox need to show some class and trade him... Guillen is ruining his career.
  14. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 08:54 AM) (This post will test the boards filters and most likely get deleted..but i couldn't hold back.) Important relationship advice. It's not about f***ing and balls and pussy. It's about love. It's about people. It's about connection. It's not about tossing salad. It's not about cock and ass and tits. And butthole pleasures. It's not about these rusty trombone, and dirty sanchez. It's not about rainbow showers and camel-toe slide... and your Cincinnati bowtie, your Arabian goggles or the Hot Karl and pearl necklace... or pussy juice cocktails, and the jagged-head dildos, and the double-decker pussies. s*** stained balls, and cum swapping, and the hanging brain, it's not about the rattlesnake wiggle, and the alligator f***house, donkey-punching, the tea-bagging- You can never go wrong with the alligator f***house
  15. This reminds me of the days of Beastly.
  16. Just another reason why I totally am not an Ozzie fan anymore. Thanks for the World Series pal, but if you're going to continue to act like this, go somewhere else.
  17. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:17 PM) Stop posting... your sig makes me feel weird... PUT IT ON THE BOARD YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I think I can speak for everyone and say that Scarlett is a welcome addition to Soxtalk... Thank you Juanita Uribe
  18. QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:11 PM) im jsut saying that if somebody is going to blame erstads batting average, or hitting in general, for the sox losing/sucking, then they should also blame other "underperformers", Dye and Iguchi have had even less success than erstad so far this season so they should be blamed for atleast the same amount for the white sox's failures Please use the spell check and perhaps consider using proper capitalization if you would like some credibility. Just an idea.
  19. Good news for IU, bad news for Gage, Peegs is reporting today that by all accounts Hamga is considered an IU lean and could be the next IU verbal for the '08 class... All a rumor at this point but still considered good news. Also, Devin Ebanks, Rivals No. 11 player in the 2008 class, has cut his list of schools to a final 4: Indiana, Miami-FL, Rutgers and Texas. I like our chances with this 6'7" wing out of Connecticut.
  20. Both are entering the draft, but apparently not hiring agents yet.
  21. I think the explanation I got from Jason was... You animals are using too much bandwidth
  22. That's the word.... Didn't he do the same thing last year and later decide to come back. Corey Brewer locked him down this year in the Final Four, so I can't really see where his stock would be very high, although he did have a very good season.
  23. Whatever the deal with Contreras, I was just glad to see him pitch well last night. We're going to need him to be a major factor this year and with his outing on Opening Day, few of us were optimistic about what kind of season he is going to have. After last night, I feel a bit better about Jose.
  24. Trade bait? Is this a joke? What could we get for him at this point?
