  1. So you are thinking the return for Cease should’ve been Cowser/Kjerstad, Ortiz, and Hall? I’ll have some of what you’re smoking. Hall won’t make it as a starter IMO ….But is a leverage reliever and possibly a closer. The other guys are ready …high floor guys. So even if they only end up average major leaguers you’ve won the trade by a landslide. The likelihood hood of Cease reproducing the CY Young season is likely about 20% IMO. That’s not to say he can’t give a team 2 years of above MLB average starter production. i think the major problem with Getz is he’s tarting to sell Cease on what he could be versus what he is after 2023. I think you guys also wanted to receive the return based on that. Honeslty, I hope you guys get it. I just hope it’s not from the Orioles, maybe the Red Sox or Jays will drop their pants.
  2. Obviously that’s the approach…. However a bad 1st half makes the return less than Burnes IMO. An injury hurts it even more. It will be interesting to see how things turn out.
  3. There was some suggestion of the same thing on the Orioles board. I wonder how you guys would be feeling if that was the return for Cease. I think Burnes has the better overall numbers but one less year of control. There is hope on the Brewers board that Hall can go back to the rotation. I know he’s preparing for a shot a the rotation. I think his success will be as a high leverage reliever
  4. Maybe the O’s sale makes some funds available that would encourage some movement.
  5. Hopefully Rubenstein is buying a toy rather than an investment
  6. I’m not a White Sox fan and this was my first thought. Obviously Getz sights are much higher than a guy with a 300 OBP in his last 2 full seasons.
  7. If they aren’t interested…you move to another guy. Maybe they send money with him, it seems unlikely but not impossible.
  8. He got money from a team that literally has an unlimited supply. There is clearly a problem with the financial system when they make all of those big signings and still have a measly $11 million for this chump.
  9. I’m not afraid of anything….My thought on Stowers is the Orioles haven’t given him a fair shake. He hit to a low 7 OPS in his first taste 2 years ago and then just like Cowser had 30 at bats that accounted for playing once per week. I agree with you guys on 1 thing….Their values are decreasing (Ortiz and Stowers) based on the way they are being handled by Hyde and Elias. You simply can’t prove anything going from playing everyday in the minor to once a week up here. On Stowers, I could see him being a .250 ish hitter with 20-25 homers in the bigs playing a mediocre COF. Probably having a 25 or so % Krate. That plays for a while and perhaps he will get moved somewhere that he is valued. I think Hyde cares more about defense than production as he chose Mateo stinking it up.
  10. And you honestly think Cowser and Ortiz are spare parts. You don’t believe that
  11. So Cowser and Ortiz are just spare parts …. I can’t fix stupid
  12. Cowser and Ortiz aren’t spare parts ….and if they are interested in veterans bats. Santander would be a good third or 4th piece. But keep making your bullshit up if it makes you feel good.
  13. I guess no different than Justgottabelieve intentionally making up lies to bandwagon the insults and piling on right?
  14. What insults? Here accused me of saying something I didn’t and adding stupid emojis to get rep votes from guys like you. He was wrong and what he said was categorically untrue.Im calling him out for telling a lie.
