  1. Fingers crossed! I'd be happy with 3 or 4 to take Caleb.
  2. 19 year old Noa Essengue is now around 7 foot. Kinda crazy to think dude is still young enough to be growing. No idea what to expect outta him, but finding a head coach that is good at developing players has to be the key here. A 19 year old Essengue along with 2 top 15 picks and the still incredibly young Matas alll need it. I forget his name, but i was reading up on the Spurs assistant coach that the Bulls are supposedly linked to and he makes a lot of sense.... Guy was "Instrumental" on the development of Giannis....Defensive guru....KG loves him....hes a ginger....sign me up.
  3. How do NBA front offices operate? Like Marc Eversley was the GM and AK was the VP of basketball operations. This hire was for the AK role. Generally speaking, when I think GM, in other sports, it's the GM that's making the moves. Is the VP just approving the deals the gm makes? Bryson has been seen as an up and comer at least. He was recently on the Athletics 40 under 40 list for coaches and executives.
  4. Vooch being a healthy scratch in a game 7 loss is wild. The East might have the #1 and #2 seed lose in the first round. No one cares, but man, all I needed was 15 points from Pritchard to win 800 bucks. He threw up a meaningless 3 with time running out that woulda made soil myself if it went in. He finished with 13 and I finished with no money.
  5. DDS instead of the WR was probably the right move. When the Packers took him 2 picks ahead of the Bears I was pissed. Even he is not necessarily the best fit for a 4-3 though. The comment wasn't meant to be "BS" i was genuinely curious. From a 4-3 standpoint the DE market was trash. Just got sign Clowney and call it a day.
  6. So who do you take and where?
  7. Ryan "RAS" Poles strikes again with James Van Der Beek. 2nd highest RAS ever by a DT... never heard of the guy with the #1 highest.
  8. SI reported that the Bears would need 5.2 million to sign their draft picks. They freed up 10 mill, and there's several bottom of the roster guys that can be cut to free up more.....I wonder if they go after Bosa, Clooney, Watkins, or most likely Jordan Cameron. I'm gonna leave the Jordan Cameron mistake in there....I think they're good on tight ends though, so Cam Jordan makes more sense.
  9. Yeah, that one im not a fan of at allll. I understand special teams is a thing, and his top end speed might be able to take the top of the defense off, but in the 3rd?!
  10. The DE thing is starting to feel like RB last year. If you look at the guys available, even at 57, who do you take? From 57 to the end of round 3, there was not a single DE that fits the mold of a 4-3 DE....Sure, they could have taken another smaller guy, but they already have Booker who may or may not struggle against the run..
  11. One other name id like before the pick is annouced... LT Overton
  12. What DE though? Looking back at what was taken after Roush and whats still available, 4-3 DEs seem like slim pickins. DDS makes sense and hopefully he's still there.
  13. I feel like he's about to go full mad man. Rams were using 13 personnel like 50% of the time down the stretch and i can see the Bears approach that.
  14. Trade down to 69 for 144. Seems like pretty good value there.
  15. Can't hate on the best center in the draft either. I like Gracen Halton or the Texas A&M DT next.
  16. Hard to hate on taking the best safety in the draft when your one true need was safety. I woulda waited because I think you can find good safeties later in the draft butttt, Dillon being there is hard to pass. I'd consider trying to trade up for Zion if the cost isn't too high.
  17. Ehhh I hate the idea of being patient. Giants drafted another EDGE. That means Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux are both on the bench and might be traded. I'd be happy with either.
  18. I would try and trade down. I feel like the difference in talent between 25(depending on if someone drops) is not that much different than say 35. Though falling to the end of the 1st would be more ideal to pick up the extra year of control.
  19. No DL till the 3rd or possibly the 4th seems a little wild. I'd honestly rather double or even triple dip on DL with their first 4.
  20. What's the deal with Budenholzer? I know he had the first round exit his last year with the Bucks but overall isn't he considered a good coach? No shot Thibs comes back right?
  21. I meannn, he had no connections with AKME did he? They know Kerr so there's that as well.
  22. My rose colored glasses have now become less rosey. Kerr is stepping down as GSW head coach too. Wonder if he would rather coach again or go to a front office gig again. Either way I think he'd be my top choice.....Kerr as head executive/GM and Luke Walton as HC....or maybeeee Kerrs kid but that could get dicey.
  23. Austin Brown is super intriguing and I'm happy the Bulls are looking "Outside of the box." I put that quotes because the whole sports agent turned front office thing seems to have worked out in most cases. The before mentioned Bob Myers was an agent before becoming who he was with the Warriors.
  24. I think thats fair. I just thought it'd be an interesting topic to talk about. I know around the trade deadline we were still talking about acquiring Giannis. That being said, I do think there's a path to relevancy pretty quickly if the do somehow get a top 4 pick and I would strongly consider trading 15 for a proven player....If the top 4 guys live up to the hype then them plus Giddey, Matas, and a pretty solid bench is probably a play in worthy team.
