  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:40 PM) I dont know if its the pen not getting enough work, or these guys are just off, but this s*** aint going to work all season. Well I don't see why Cotts is struggling, but if bmac isn't making some outs for us we are in serious trouble. There is no way we can depend on Politte, Logan, and is Thornton even available these days? I really hope KW finds something for us quick.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:39 PM) Salmon with the short popout to B.A. Inning over, 8-5. thanks!
  3. Our pen is really bad if our savior can't get the job done...
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) 2 of 3 is very doable, but Sunday looks be the worst matchup for the Sox. Ummm maybe. I kinda think Escobar will give us fits. While we did get to him in the playoffs he made us look awful. K's everywhere through the lineup. EDIT: I agree on the 2 of 3 though. Our offense can score enough for our pitchers to hold down the W.
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 01:38 PM) Good thing you like message boards cause in a few years you aren't going to be able to have a conversation with anyone. lol, that is very true.
  6. Good game by Javy and the O! Lets start another winning streak damnit!
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) The funny thing is that Logan gets a save for tonight. lol ya, I just thought of that too.
  8. I've actually never seen a position player pitch before... I know Widge was also gonna pitch in that game that Vizcaino got rocked if he couldn't get out of that inning.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:44 PM) The last pitcher who I saw make a 10 run lead seem small was Paniagua. You forgot about Marte on his good days already?
  10. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) lol..you should quit why you're ahead. His pitching is an adventure for the fielders, hitters, coaching staff and fans. It's all fun and games in a game like today but other than that we might as well just let Uribe finish the game. or Pablo lol.
  11. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:42 PM) Boone is terrible. I'm sorry. He's thrown way more balls than strikes, hes hit two people, hes given up some hits. Blah blah blah, rust, he shouldn't be on this MLB roster. Anyways, good thing we had some offense tonight so Boone can't blow this game (hopefully), although I wouldn't put it passed him the way he's throwing now *knocks on wood* He probably wouldn't be in there if it was close...then again...
  12. QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) What I mean is that he is better than any of you can ever do...A, AA, AAA or majors.....let these kids pitch in MLB games...your not going to have an experienced pitching staff forever if you dont let these guys learn and play with the big boys. Comparing him to us is irrelevant. With our pen so thin as it is you think we need to "give" this kid some innings to learn from? He needs to learn in the minors. He shouldn't have ever made the club in the first place.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) I can't believe we brought in this guy to face Hafner. If you think about it that's pretty insane. I mean he went from facing pretty much nobodys to one of the better hitters in the league. He floated in right down the middle and Hafner wasn't going to miss.
  14. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) is there a replacement anywhere yet, i dont think so. Lopez is dominating in AAA.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:50 PM) AJ looks so damn good at the plate this year. I love the classic high batting average low power Pierz compared to the high power low avg Pierz we saw last year. I will definitley take old AJ over 05 AJ too.
  16. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) Joe Crede is hot with that haircut
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) One of the best games I was ever at was when Wash no-hit us for 7, then Frank hit a two run bomb to tie it, then another two run bomb in the ninth to win it. Definitley remember that!
  18. Oh well go get em tomorrow. Good night guys.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:22 PM) I do find it ironic though how the Sox had many deep fly balls with their homer swings tonight, but the Mariners won on a little flipper through the left side. I think that might be jpaht's nightmare come true. Well that seems to be what this team has been about for how long? Any late inning close games our guys just start swinging for the fences.
  20. lol... everyone thinks Ozzie hates winning streaks bigger than 8 games.
