  1. Hope the sox win and Twins lose, I love I mean LOVE our team this season. The past couple seasons sox have gotten off to a rough start and then challenge for the division title in mid season then just fall off. I hope this team plays with this heart the whole season, if they do, they are true winners. Go Sox!!
  2. I just wonder what he would say if the sox made it to the playoffs and the flubs didn't this year...
  3. ARow will be fine, wait until he heats up like he was in spring training.
  4. You can be an smart a**hole and think you know everything but I just think everyone is overreacting. So I guess you would rather have last years team that would've rolled over and died, not making any attempt to win last nights game. All I am trying to say is that I have confidence in the sox and that I don't think the season is over because of last nights lose.
  5. Very well said, I think the sox will bounce back. I also love the fact that they don't give up and think they can win a game wether their down a run or 5. A team with heart will go far and the sox have it this season. The reason I think it's not time to panic is because it's only one game, sure it hurts when you let the other team come back to win, but I have confidence in the sox. Were 11-8 and 1.5 games behind first, if the sox just notch it up a little bit we will be fine. From what I hear the Twinkies are firing on all cylinders and the sox arn't and we are only a game and a half back so the way I see it the sox are keeping up even though they are not at their best. We still have a few players who need to get going and we are still winning games, once they start coming around maybe we'll get a win streak going and I think it will happen. Last nights loss doesn't make me mad as much as winning games when the Twins arn't. I mean Twins win, Sox win and that cycle repeats itself then Twins lose, Sox lose, I mean comon they need to win when the other team doesn't or else how are you going to have a chance. We don't play the Twins until what mid may? So unless the sox want first they have to win when the Twins don't. I really am gaining a lot of confidence in Shoey, especially since he went from our worse pitcher to one of our best and most consistent. I think he will pull the sox through again. Last night vs the tribe was just bad luck. Like I said guys, were not firinig on all cylinders and we are keeping up to the Twins who are, now imagine us getting hot... oh I can't wait...
  6. I am a proud White Sox find mainly because my brother introduced me to them. He showed me who The Big Hurt , Robin Ventura, and Ozzie Guillen were and since then I have been a sox fan and my love for the sox only becomes stronger every year. One of the best games I remember going to was when the sox retired Fisk's number. To go to a sox game now is heaven for me.
  7. Ok... That is hard to believe even though it's only arthroscopic surgery but a month? I say atleast 2 until he's ready to play 100% (you know they will take precautions), and just like other injuries, it could ruin his season like Wright's minor injury ruined his last season.
  8. Only for a month when he needs knee surgery? I highly doubt that.
  9. Don't know if this has been posted before but he needs surgery in his knee... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp Check it out for yourself!
  10. I couldn't believe it... I went into work with a great mood thinking there was no way the sox could lose it... well they did. I am not blaming the whole loss on Ozzie but he shouldn't have left Politte in there after he walked the first guy. Another thing that should've been mentioned to Ozzie, do NOT bring in Marte with inherited runners. Last year he always let them score but took care of his business, hopefully Ozzie will remember not to bring him in at times like that again. The thing that is so bad about this loss is not only do we start off bad but we lost to KC!!! To KC!! They had the game in the palm of their hands and let it slip. I am trying to be optimistic but Marte didn't have such a great spring and our so called right handed ace Loaiza didn't have one either. I am just talking out of my ass right now because I am so mad but we better crush them Wednesday... I hope this isn't a sign of things to come because we have lots of question marks that hopefully will be answered in a good way...
  11. Yeah I doubt he starts off bad again but atleast you got him this year instead of last year like I did. The bad thing about having him last year were not only because of his low numbers but atleast you didn't give up a good OF'er for him. I traded an OF for him (before he started his slide), Mark Mulder and a releiver and then he he goes 1-10 then Mulder goes down... Them two put together cost me 1st place, damn that sucked.
  12. They both will be on the opening day roster. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...4news&fext=.jsp Both of them have questions every where but as long as the job gets done at 2B wether it's both of them or just one of them doing the job it doesn't really matter, we just need some consistency.
  13. I see where you are coming from with the great bullpen situation and mediocre starting rotation but what happened last year because we didn't have a dependable 5th starter? We lost all of those games because no one was consistent. Even if you had a 5th starter that could go 5 okay innings wouldn't the bullpen get over worked? Not only will they have to handle 4 innings to themselves every 5th day but our other 4 starters aren't going to last 6-7 innings every time out, sometimes people don't get past the 3rd inning so what then? I rather have a great starting rotation and a mediocre bullpen because if your starters can give you 6-7 innings strong innings mostly every time out that’s enough for your bullpen to come in and hold the lead for 1-3 innings instead of 4 innings every 5th start excluding every day for the other starters. Jarrod Washburn would give this team a BIG boost. Our bullpen is pretty much set and strong but with Loiaza and Shoey having trouble lately it's giving us some pretty big question marks. Picture a rotation of Buehrle, Loiaza, Washburn, Garland, and Wright or Shoey. We keep the other teams off balance with the lefties and righties every other day and a good bullpen and a good offense, that sounds a lot better than what we have now by just adding Washburn.
  14. Hey I have a question to anyone who knows how to use those image editing progs (Cheat,SuperSteve etc) what is the tool called to let you take a peice of a picture without taking out the whole background. For example if I took a picture and all I want to do is take just me out of the picture no background or nothing what is the tool called to let you do that? Give me different names other progs would use if you can too thanks.
  15. Rauch is probably the closest to get a chance in the majors than most of our other pitchers in the minors. Ginter would be another but he hasn't proved he could handle it but then again pitchers like Stewart, Rauch, and Cotts are not in the majors because they couldn't handle it so Ginter is also close. Rauch had a good 2nd half last season and ended up with pretty good stats. I think he has a good shot at the $5 spot in the rotation next season thats is if KW hasn't gave the spot to Shoey already. If Rauch does good in spring training I think he could beat Shoey to it if it was just between them two. I think Rauch can do it because he had 2 real good starts in 02 vs Oak and Min I think it was and if he can beat Min he has a real good chance. Ginter also has a good chance but he has to do real good in spring training. If he does end up in our bullpen I hope he doesn't fall apart. I think Stewart will even get a chance but then again he might not because of his season long injury after that line drive in Baltimore, I hope he gets back to normal he has potential.
  16. I also believe that if KW has to trade Maggs he should threatin other GM's that he could get better deals with other teams and just trade to the highest bidder. If we can get Perez and Itzuris from LA we should give them PK. Lee has finally shown what he is capable of last season and now they want to trade him? Also if they want Maggs they better give us more than Perez and Itzuris. I still think if Maggs gets traded ANA and NYY are our best bets. Alfonso Soriano is clearly the best offer we can get for Maggs unless ANA offers Washburn, Eckstein, and top notch prospects.
  17. I would not do either of the Erstad or Percival deal. I wouldn't do Erstad because he barely plays and when he does play he isn't all that good. I would rather trade Maggs for Washburn, Shields, and a prospect or two then resign Gordon. If the sox did that deal then we wouldn't need a closer like Percival and the rotation question marks would be answered.
  18. I agree, if the sox don't fill in the big holes in the team with fine replacements there will be nothing Ozzie could do to make the team win. If JR wouldn't be such a cheap ass about the team we would have a definite winning team but oh well. Right now we have a make or break team, meaning if we add a couple nice additions we could win or if we don't add anything we will be a wreck...
