Who's pumped about Munoz starting tomorrow?
Whitewashed in '05 replied to CubsSuck1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Not if he leaves it up... but I think he will also break the 5th starter curse and hopefully not only will he pitch a good game tomorrow but I hope we actually give him some run support. Heres to his success -
If all goes well tonight we will only be .5 gb of 1st!

I thought this guy was drafted last year, wasn't he also a former 1B and an All-American in college? I am glad sox got some lefties, anyone got any info on Whisler?
-
Well once I learn how to do the basics I think I will be able to catch on, on how to do what you said. Thanks for all the help hopefully you can see a new good sig from me soon.
-
Thanks I can do the simple stuff but once it gets to blending backgrounds im lost See my current sig lol
-
Damn... thats too hard lol

Hey Goldmember what is the tool called that you use to fade out players in the background of cubssuck1 basketball sig? Also, how do you make them look faraway like in the background too? I am trying to make my own sig but I just can't get it to look good, I got the players cut out and everything I just need to put it together...

They do wish they could sign Maggs though but who doesn't.

El Caballo coming through!! (a little late) -
In the time Maggs has been out the sox haven't done too bad but maybe if he was in the lineup the sox could have won one more game, to me they could have, with all those wasted opportunities in Oakland maybe Maggs could have come through who knows... Anyway now the sox will have a chance to really see what it will be like without him as this is his final year in his contract and probably in a sox uni. I am a big Maggs fan and I hope he doesn't walk but if the sox do good without him which I hope they do, that might be a reason for not bringing him back. JR loves to give excuses on why we couldn't do this or that and this could be one of them I can see it right now "we were playing so good while Magglio was out and I don't see why we can't do it again." The sox playing good without Maggs good be a good thing showing that even without their best player they can win but it can also do bad as I just stated above. What are your thoughts sox fans?
-
Anyone know where I can get the photo from above that soxtalk has with Maggs coming home after a walk off shot? I am trying to make my own sig but I just can't get it done, I don't know what to put as my background...

I have a question for you, what are you here for? You always make stupid comments and you are always hating on someone. What makes you happy?
-
:dips*** You are getting really annoying with this issue, didn't you already make a thread about this about a week ago? God, a guy has some bad days and "TRADE HIM" he has good days "Go Carlos!!! we need you" that is real nice. Get off his d*ck... useless thread

True but even if Uribe was on the ballot he wouldn't be selected, look at 02's AS game, they selected Johnny Damon as the 30th man instead of Maggs Ordonez, he was having a great year and ended up being in the top 10 in almost every offensive catagorey.
-
True because Paul Konerko was left off the ballot in 02 but Torre still selected him to be an All-Star, hopefully same scenario for Uribe but I highly doubt it, no one cares about the White Sox so what makes you think they care about Uribe? Also, didn't they change the All-Star game last year, instead of playing each player playing 2 innings the starters played most of the game because of the extra innings game the past year? I know they didn't select as many players last season as they did the season before...
-
He settled in nicely after a few shaky outings in 02 so hopefully he can give us some good innings from the get go. I don't think the sox should bring up Munoz, it's his first season as a starter and that would be too quick for him.
-
and I thought he would've been a perfect 5th starter for us...
-
I love the way the sox are playing right now, everything is clicking, offense is giving the pitching enough run support and the pitching is giving the team a chance to win. I hope Buehrle and Loaiza keep pitching the way they are, Garland and Show had some bad starts recently but that was inevitable with how they have been throwing the ball, I expect them to bounce back and keep giving the sox strong starts. As for the bullpen hopefully Cotts can settle back in and keep doing a great job and I also hope Politte can put it together. Jackson has had some shaky outings but hes doing pretty good and for Koch, I hope he keep improving. Everyone else in the pen is fine. Our offense have not been short changing our pitching with Caballo and Rowand getting hot while the rest of the lineup has been doing a good job so far this season. I hope they also keep clicking. Now only if we could finally get a 5th starter our team would be firing on all cylinders, the Twins are only 1 game back and are totally injured and not doing too good but still winning so we need to keep going. I REALLY REALLY hope our next 5th starter can get it done because we really need him. I mean our 5th starter hasn't won a game since mid 2003? That is not bad but pitiful, we need someone to come through and if they finally do and put up some W's they will be the reason this team will have a chance at the division because a loss every five days is no good to win the division. Who ever it is, Rauch, Grilli, Munoz, I hope it works out... Go Sox :fthecubs and lets keep winning!
-
So lets throw the rest of our farm system in the rotation and see them fail would you like that better? We need a good arm, not only to win the central but to go further...
-
Your talkin about getting rid of Lee when your name is Rowand 44? Talk about not having a clue. I hate to be this way because I think Rowand can make it but the thing is that your talking about a guy whose proved himself already to a guy who hasn't done jack. If there was only one position in the OF availabe and it was between Lee and Rowand seriously would you really choose Rowand? This is disgusting :puke How could you even say that. Also, don't think just because I like Lee is the reason I am defending him, if there was a way he would be shipped out for a quality arm for the rotation I would say go for it because I am about improving the sox but to talk about getting rid of Lee and preferring Rowand is insane...get a clue.
-
Dammit, how serious is it and do they have any idea how long he will be out?
-
Out of all that, all I have to say is... how the hell do you guys get thousands of posts, in this case almost 7000...?
-
Yeah they both sound nice but A.J. wouldn't be a good fit, not only because no one likes him in the clubhouse, but also because we already have Olivo. Didn't Reuter shut us out last season when he saw us? If it was him, we really sucked that night against him.
-
Good point but all I have to say is one thing, we CANNOT lose every 5th day.
