Jones K's too much and misreads the ball a lot in the OF even though his speed makes up for it but its gonna get to him. No thanks.

The continuing Incline of Aaron Rowand
Whitewashed in '05 replied to KJSoxSOxSox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
So just because they had slow starts its fine for ARow and Crede to have slow starts? Comon now, I am not saying they suck, I am just saying that if they can keep their avg's decent in the 1st half then come the 2nd half with their hot surges and they can be really solid. Both of them can be, Crede has GG defense and ARow has good D too so just imagine knowing that everytime they are on the field throughtout the season we have above avg D and decent bats. -
The continuing Incline of Aaron Rowand

I give much credit to ARow for his surge lately but the problem with him is that he starts off very very bad. Way too slow, kinda like Crede and that needs to stop. If Crede and Rowand kept their .avg's ateast at .240 first half then get real hot 2nd half they would have close to .300 avg's but they usually start off in the .200 the first half. This happened to Rowand and Crede the past 2 1st halfs. If they can get their 1st half under control our team could be just down right dangerous. Could you imagine what our team would hit if these two had been batting atleast .240 the first half? -
Actually when he said he would start he didn't mean he wanted to start. From what he said was that the rotation was so bad back then, he asked KW if he wanted him to start. I don't remember any crying about it though.

It is great that the offense finally woke up, wether it was a bad pitcher or not, we all have seen the sox get shut down by bad pitchers. Harris proved he needs to be in the lineup and hopefully Carl proved that he can get the job done. The key to all of this though is that the sox need to play hard no matter what. Too many times I have seen them swing for the fences with one out and a guy on 1st and 2nd. That's where they go wrong, they are starting to remind of last years ball club which isn't good. What happened to small ball that Ozzie made them play in the beginning of the year. Have you seen our record when we don't hit homers? It's 4-15 and when did those 4 wins come? I am sure in the beginning of the season because right now they are not winning when not hitting a homer. I think Ozzie needs to talk to them about playing small ball again because that is the only way we are going to win. It's like when we face a tough pitcher we get shut down. I am sick of seeing them miss opportunities on tough pitchers. If theres a guy on 2nd with one out facing a tough pitcher they swing for the fences and just fly out or K. Maybe if they tried moving him over and then getting a hit, that could be better but no. As long as they play hard they will win. We all saw this in the first half and I want to see it again.

Everyone is so sure that Maggs wont be back next year and there are good reasons why but I just have this feeling that this won't be Maggs last season in a Sox uni. I am confident that KW and Maggs can come to a deal, especially if we get far into the playoffs.

I'd like to see the #1 prospect for the Cubs a while back and the 1st round draft pick we traded for. Garland is a good pitcher but I just wish he would turn into the pitcher everyone says he could be. He supposed to be our #1 starter of the future but he couldn't even handle the 3rd spot before we got FG. Now I am not saying trade him just because of that, he shouldn't even be mentioned in trade talks but I think he has had enough time in the big leagues to "adjust" to the pitcher he should be. Every year we say "next year will be his year" but that year never comes. I really hope he's ready to "turn the corner" soon because we need him to. With that said go get em your next start JG.

I hate to say it but, I told you guys he was a pipe dream...

Cattalanato would be a GREAT addition but I just don't know if hes exactly what were looking for. I don't know much about the guy except that he is a sox killer with a good avg and good in the clutch. Not sure how much power he has but if he has anywhere from decent to good I would say he is a perfect addition. Again, I don't keep up with this guy much but from what I know he would be a good CF when Big Hurt gets back. So in that case, lets get him!!
-
I say Moronotti, he is just a bandwagon jumper who doesn't know s***. SO-SA is next with his non talented ass. How about Todd Ritchie and Tub O Goo on there, they would be other big hits.
-
How great would it be to spend a day or two in the broadcast booth with Hawk and DJ. Not only to enjoy talking to them and watching the game with them but also see all the behind the scenes action. It would be a blast!

Ok, in reality how much of a chance do the sox have of getting RJ? I don't think much. Now think of the chances of getting Livan, also not much, but if we did acquire Livan since we couldn't get RJ would you be satisfied? I know I would.
-
If JR is as close to BSelig as everyone says he is I am sure we could get a good deal for him, sure just because they are close doesn't mean were going to steal him, but atleast he will listen for offers. Just like we can give up some good talent for RJ we can for Livan, except for a lot less of a price.
-
Comon if Randy Johnson is in trade talks your going to tell me that its impossible to acquire some other good talent? Like I said, your not going to find anyone better but you could find someone good. Off the top of my head, Livan Hernandez, this guy is good and he would really give us some good inngings. Not as good as RJ but atleast he wouldn't rip our farm system into peices.
-
I am sorry but I don't see RJ coming to the South Side at all, sure we have enough to get him but that's really like ALL our farm system. As dumb as KW can be at times I wouldn't doubt he would do it. I agree he wants to go for it all but giving up everything for him doesn't make sense. As someone else said before, if everyone was b****ing about Olivo being traded imagine who we will give up for RJ. There has to be other options, not better but other decent ones. Furthermore, how many people b**** day in and day out about how the sox get no national attention? Keeping that in mind, if asked would he (RJ) want to go to the White Sox or the Yankmees, what do you think he will answer? However, acquiring Randy Johnson WILL put us over the top in the central and serious contenders, not only for the ALCS but for the WS. It would be great to have him no doubt about it, but if there is someone else available out there who is good and won't take all of our farm system to acquire him, I would say do it.

He's Venezuelan, look at Miguel Cabrera, very similar. I don't think there's anything wrong with his eyes. If light is in your eyes you are gonna squint and when he squints he looks like hes having trouble seeing. He is fine.

I can't believe you just said Mulder is decent... I would give him the ball the first game of the season over any of our starters right now. Mulder is a bad ass hampered by injuries. Just think what his numbers would have looked like last season if he didn't get hurt? Halladay Cy Young winner :puke I would have picked Mulder. Now since I said that I expect him on the South Side in the future How great would that be.... Anyway back to reality. He's a stud.

Please give me a break, Koch totally melts in pressure situations. Do I really have to go into detail? The only reason Koch was decent in Oakland was because he had LOTS of opportunites for saves and he also had his fastball. Besides that, he would melt. Koch would either be decent as a reliever or if he can make his other pitches besides his straight fastball better. You don't have to have a 100mph fb to be successfull, s*** his 95 mph fb is good, he just has to have some other pitches to back him up. Everytime Koch was down he would rely on his fastabll well since it isn't there anymore he would get rocked, he needs to improve the rest of his pitches along with his control.
-
I wish the best for Koch because he trys so hard but without his fb he ain't s***. Even with it he was barely ok, but I hope he improves. To tell you the truth I don't think Koch will be decent again unless he is reunited with Rick Peterson and I have a feeling he will. Although 2 scoreless innings from botch is good, the key is though, was the game on the line because he isn't a closer anymore, he just melts in pressure situations.

What is up with Marte, I have no where as much faith in him this year as I had the previous years. Randy f***in Winn homers... and you can put it on the board...

I love big Jon but when is he gonna start showing his ace potential everyone says he has. He couldn't even handle the 3rd spot. But he got the job done!

Any tips from the pros on how I can improve my sig making skills for the future? Since I have used most of the stuff I know on these sigs... -

or this one. What could I do to improve it also? I think the first one is a little better since it fits my name better, but I dunno. -
