  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 12:40 PM) mandatory psych and law class Ugh. Go and bring a computer?
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) Well, originally I was gonna be able to see the first hour then screwed the last 2, now I'm not sure, if it starts at three, I don't get out until 5...hmm...I wonder what I'll be able to see. I'd just miss the class. Probably a pointless j-school class or something?
  3. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 12:07 PM) What did they say about times? Yeah, please let us know for those not near a TV yet.
  4. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 10:09 AM) Det lineup: Granderson cf Sheffield dh Ordonez rf Cabrera 1b Thames lf Rayburn 2b Inge 3b Ryan c Santiago ss Sheffield hit career HR #499 yesterday and today gives him another chance to reach 500 this season. He'll be swinging for the fences, hopefully that will work to Gavin's advantage. That lineup is so top heavy. They have got three guys to be afraid of: Granderson, Maggs and Cabrera. Throw sharp breaking balls to Sheff and Thames, and they are done. So that's why I don't include them as scary hitters although Thames can hit bombs. The bottom of that order blows, though Ryan has hit well and has a gun from home. Let's get this done and we'll have a great home matchup of Danks vs. Blackburn.
  5. I hear its poring in Chicago, what's the outlook for getting this game started on time? Is the weather going to be an issue all day?
  6. 4-3 winner tonight with BC having four assists. It is so nice that we finally have our power play D stud.
  7. A 3-game winnning streak is all it takes to get into the playoffs. Judging by how bad the Sox have been in the past 10 games, they are do for something, so why not a 3-game win streak? I am fairly confident we win today, so it depends on the Twins. But we got nobody to blame but ourselves, in the three game series against the Tribe, we faced barely major league pitchers and lost. Tomorrow, if we win today, we get Freddy Garcia on Monday, who also is barely an ML pitcher. Things could not have been made better for this team matchup wise even going back to the Twins series.
  8. QUOTE (CQMVP @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:02 AM) Mark pitches 7, and gives up 2 runs. We score 7. Our bullpen comes in and gives up 8 runs. We lose the game tomorrow 10-7. That's my prediction. I don't think the back three of Thornton, Dotel and Jenks in some combination the last two innings would give up 8. More realistically, 2 on a 2-run HR or two solo bombs. But they aren't THAT bad.
  9. I am debating whether or not to put myself through the agony of watching the game, or just doing homework I have put off because of the Sox earlier in the week and checking at 4.
  10. Jason Bourgeoious. Spelling horrible on that. He is guy who I wish would have had some at-bats at the end of the year since no one else is doing s***, why not a speedy, contact hitter?
  11. Royals are 13-2 over their last 15 games. Please to god make it 14-2. We WILL win tomorrow.
  12. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 09:03 PM) this is enormous news......bullington is awful...hes not even AAA fodder...if we can't beat him with mark on the mound we dont deserve to even sniff the division trophy No doubt in my mind, we win tomorrow. So that the Sox can keep us fans going for the maximum numbers of days only to disappoint us. Then we'll go out and get beat by Detroit and Freddy.
  13. f*** the White Sox so much. They are so f***ing bad.
  14. Richard apparently has more balls than anyone of this team.
  15. What a bunch of selfish, crappy ballplayers. If they would have won one game the past five days, we would be very confident right now. 2 we'd be in the playoffs. But wow is all you can say. A lot of these better go away next year especially Swisher who "contagious" enthusiasm for the game is clearly working.
  16. Nunez and then Soria for two plz.
  17. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 03:51 PM) Should've checked out game thread for this update. But thanks for jinxing it, no one scores. I hope your were being sarcastic...
  18. QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 04:51 PM) We really can't ask much more from them. They're still in this game and have taken 1 of 3 already. It's up to us to win the next two... Yeah, they are playing competitive baseball and at least giving us a chance.
  19. At least the Royals are still fighting. They will continue to score runs this game.
  20. Not gonna be able to watch, but hopefully they can win tonight and the Twins lose and we are right back in first place. Not likely though the way the two teams are going.
  21. Let's hope it doesnt come to that.
  22. I can't watch, Thank god. Copy Editing! WOO WOO. Sit next to a Twins fan though.
  23. I really want to cry.
  24. Here comes the 1-2-3 inning: pop out for Alexei, ground out for AJ and K for either Uribe or Swisher. Yep this team is very predictable.
  25. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 09:28 PM) Alexei is going deep in the 9th. I like your optimism, but I don't its happening against Nathan. Although I said this once before and then Alexei actually did go deep (think it was the Cleveland game).
