I value the opinion of someone who was in the war, and experienced it over someone who didn't go but was so gung-ho for the war.

Boers and Bernstein also refused to call Tillman a hero; they said his responsibilty was to his family, and he let them down by enlisting in the military, getting killed, and denying them a husband/father.

I wrote a paper on steroids in college in 1986; my sources are outdated by now, I'm sure. There was a doctor who lived locally in Chicago who was a competitive bodybuilder who used steroids, but wrote a book on the dangers of steroid use, after experiencing many side effects. I was able to call him and talk to him extensively. I don't remember his name right now; if/when I think of it, I will let you know.

Wassup dude? Re. this issue...all I can say is it's better that Kerry served in Nam, saw what he saw, and came home and voiced his opinions based on his experiences, than Bush, who "supported" the Viet Nam war but was never going to go there! Bush was (is) the hypocrite, not Kerry.

I KNOW you are talking about Apu when you say that there are some unintelligent people here who don't want peace. I have said all along that I (like all Israelis (Jews)) want peace more than anything else, but am not willing to sacrifice my "homeland" to get it!

Back in the day, when I used to bartend, we were taught never discuss religion or politics with customers, peolpe's feelings always get hurt and/or someone gets pissed off and/or fights ensue. I agree, and admit that things between Apu and me have gotten a little personal, and I am truly sorry that I let his opinions get to me. Like I said, this is a volatile topic, and one that I take very personally (my father was a Holocaust survivor, who went to Israel and fought for her independence in 1948.). I will gladly abide by any decision you make re. closing these threads, and I will try to represnt myself and my opinions in a more dignified manner. To those I may have offended, I apologize.

Wouldn't it be safe to assume then that "his" mourners (especially the armed ones) are Hamas members/sympathizers??? I have read all of his (fairy tale) postings, and have seen his website; I think I have a good sense of where he stands politically. Also, being that you live in Canada; a country that openly allows terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah to openly solicit funds, while denying Mogen David Adom (The Israeli "Red Cross") the same rights, you (and your government) have a full grasp on the middle east situation. (yeah right)

You can (obviously) tell from Apu's postings that he values Israeli (Jew) lives much less than the lives of others...even less than those of "his" terrorists.
