  1. I'm all for the sweep. That would be 3 of 4 series in a row with a sweep.
  2. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) Although I haven't voted, I have to admit I think ya'll are onto something. ESPN has been reporting all day Mr. Podsednik is right on Jeter's heels. I really think ya'll are making the difference. Why aren't you voting?
  3. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:22 PM) perhaps one of us can log onto the yankees forums and can convince them that one of us is derek jeter and he doesnt want to make the all star game, and should vote for matsui Great idea!
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) I'm about 80% sure it will not work from people I've talked to. It's over 80% faster though so it's worth the risk for a few hundred votes. I have plenty of time tonight.
  5. It's so much faster the other way though. I'm doing both ways just in case.
  6. Whoever did the myspace thing, great idea! I think we're gonna win this vote!
  7. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) No. From... Inside the White Sox Thoughts, comments and observations about the 2005 White Sox from Scott Reifert, their vice president of communications. It's a special way to spend a special season. Phew, I was getting worried for a minute there. I just had a huge glass of Iced Tea and now I should be up for awhile!
  8. Got about 250 more in 5 minutes then the box got jammed. My eyes kinda hurt, I'm taking a little break then getting back at it!
  9. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) Good call. It was either between Clement and Colon to get in- you have to give Francona props for going with a guy from another team. I don't know how Hermanson didn't get in? Just not enough spots i guess.. Yeah I was suprised when Francona said that he chose Colon over Clement because Matt has had a great year. Hermanson didn't get in because Wickman and Baez needed to represent their teams, I hate that rule.
  10. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) How bout that magical D-Backs game where we threw up a 10 spot to retake the lead and slap them b****es down? I was at my baseball game and didn't get to see it until the replay the next day, so it wasn't too magical for me. But yeah, there have been so many great games this season. Let's keep 'em coming!
  11. s*** that better not be the case. I don't want all of my hard work to go for nothing. But they said there were 4 million votes casted. That would mean 160,000 had used 25 votes. I doubt that many people have voted. Who knows? I guess I'll start changing my e-mail.
  12. Used Yahtzee's way, I can get 50 a minute, I'm gonna try for 10,000 tonight.
  13. Ahem, look at the sig! I've been feeling like you are right now since that magical Dodgers game.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 09:01 PM) "White Sox May 1: Placed first baseman Ross Gload on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 25, with left shoulder inflammation" Well in most cases it is day to day.
  15. QUOTE(rangercal @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) how would he know? What doesn't Bill Melton know?
  16. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) I think there is a good chance Kenny Rogers decides to stay home for the allstar game. If this happens it can possibly get Hermy to the allstar game. Matt Clement would get in before anyone else. His manager even said so.
  17. QUOTE(WhiteSox311 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) when does the voting close Tomorrow at 7. 21 hours left! Keep it going!
  18. What a game, wow. I had the same feeling of invinceability tonight that I did in the Dodgers game when AJ had the walk-off home run. 30 games over on the 5th of July!!!!
  19. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 08:54 PM) i just counted three hundred votes in 40 minutes I just got 120 in three minutes.
  20. I got about 50 in less than a minute then it said something like "Your vote was already submitted, please wait while we process your request." I tried it again and the same thing happened. I guess I'll have to do it every other minute or so. Thanks for your advice Yahtz.
  21. How long does inflamation usually keep you down for? It's not that long usually IIRC.
  22. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) He's hitting something like .350 with RISP. Id say he's pretty clutch. Let's just say I had monsterous expectations for him. 2 outs, Lugo up now.
  23. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) Can't really blame AJ either. He throw was a little high so he had to get up, therefore he left the plate a little open. Like I said, Uribe did the right thing on a hard-hit ball like that, but he just threw it a little high. Well I was a catcher and I know I would have tried my hardest to block the plate. That's a play AJ will usually make, but oh well. It didn't end up mattering as the line drive double play cancelled the whole thing out.
