This is further proof that American car companies are becoming less American by the day. Its really sad that companies like Toyota and Honda are adding jobs here in America while "American" car companies move them overseas or shut em down outright. So much for "Buy American" :rolly

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) I don't believe the Second Amendment really was meant for a modern day Joe Sixpack and his handgun. At the time the Constitution was written, it was nearly impossible, and certainly inconvienent, to live without a gun. The country would not be able to afford a standing Army like any would be attackers, so a well regulated militia would come from the citizens. I'm not anti-gun and would love to be on the range tomorrow with you, I've never had the pleasure of shooting a Glock. I love a piece of well made machinery. I think if gun owners were more responsible the world would be a better place. I believe to be effective for home protection and gun must be readily available, loaded, and ready to go in seconds, so no complicated safety devices, no locked up ammo. That of course, is a recipe for disaster with children around, so I invested in a really good security system, and a home in a good neighborhood. Now you want to speculate about what the founders intent was when they wrote the 2nd Amendment. The answer is.......who knows. All we can do is abide by it. I think anyone who has proper training and obtains them through legal means should be able to own a firearm. The biggest misconception about gun-rights advocates is that they are all about handing out weapons to whoever wants them. Thats not true at all. I find it funny that people rant and rave about the NRA but they dont realize that they are the strongest proponents of the type of responsible gun ownership I just outlined. They spend a trainload of money offering free classes to people about firearms ownership and marksmanship and also spend a great deal of time helping train soldiers going overseas.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) The difference is, *you* are part of a well regulated militia. I'm not. And last I checked, Glock was not American made, you shooting some Nazi iron? That weapon is my personal proprety not the military's. Whats the difference between me going out there and blasting away with my personal weapon on my time as opposed to someone else? BTW......If it makes you feel any better I probably am getting a Magnum next spring once I get settled at my next assignment.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) I don't know about that. I'd take Jim Miller over Orton. A-train had a fabolous rookie season. And I don't think the 01 defense is as good as the 05 d, but it's close. The 01 team got every concieveable bounce and break they possibly could have during the regular season.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) They dont know for sure if they were drinking before-hand.... but I think it is assumed that they were. They keep winning they can drink and shoot guns all they want to. LOL! -
QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) Heres my logic. The Bears just whooped the NFC's best team, so does that mean we can win the NFC? Yes it does. We win the NFC and we get one game against 1 AFC Team, just 1 AFC teams filled with human beings. We arnet playing the AFC Pro Bowl team or anything. The way I see it we get one shot at the AFC if we win the NFC (which isnt far-fetched) We can win it all this year, I have no doubt in my mind. Maybe I'm just riding the high of this game though. Im just remembering how high everybody got back in 2001 and how badly let down we were in the playoffs.
-
QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) People dont think they have a shot because they started the season #32. Get that s***ty ESPN "Ha, the Bears suck" jokes outta your head and watch OTHER game in the NFL and you will see NO DEFENSES who play half as good as the Bears. If you dont watch and pay attention to football, youre best just shutting up and going off to discuss the offseason for the White Sox. Actually the NFL Primetime crew has had nothing but good things to say about the Bears all season.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) Please show me where lots of Bears fans are going crazy and talking Super Bowl. Other than saying it's a possiblity, which it is, I haven't seen it. Im just enjoying the ride. Nobody.....I MEAN NOBODY thought they'd be 7-3.

21-17 Colts now. Whaddya say........both teams top 50 before the 4th quarter? -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) I don't think it can be said that Orton is a better QB than Grossman just because he stays healthy..... Theres not much doubt in my mind that Grossman has more skill than Orton but what good is it when hes always in a cast or rehab or something?
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) Today's game doesn't change the fact that I think Grossman is better than Orton......defense won the game today pretty much by themselves, and with a QB that can actually throw the ball accurately on a consistent basis, the Bears could possibly go all the way. Plus, Orton came into this week last among starting QB's in rating, so even if Grossman blows, can't be any worse than that. Grossman has a glass jaw. He needs to be replaced by a real QB. You know, one that can play more than 1 game without getting hurt!

14-10 Colts over the Bengals. This with 4 mins still in the 1st quarter! Can you say SHOOTOUT?! -
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) Take nothing away from the Bears. They played a hell of a game. Everybody should be proud. Is this one of the top tem teams in the league. Maybe. Probably the best defense. Is this an elite team or spuerbowl contender, probably not. It is the sobering truth. Besides, Why would we want the Bears winning a superbowl and stealing the White Sox thunder? Id feel a lot better about their chances with a better QB than Orton.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) No, it proved how good the Bears d is. Agreed. The Panthers are anything but a weak team. The Bears made a big statement with this game.
