This was brought up in chat tonight and its a really valid point. Why is it that some of our pitchers ( Duque, Contreras and Viz come to mind here ) go 0-2, 1-2 then start nibbling at the corners and end up walking the batter. This has happened a bucketful of times tonight and its happened a lot in a bunch of other games those 3 I mentioned have pitched in. Why are these guys scared to go after a hitter when they're ahead in the count?

If I see Cocks or WALKer tonight I'll go crazy.

At least Duque learns from his mistakes. He started keeping the off speed stuff down after the dinger and he struk out 2 batters. Now if we can get him to stop going 0-2 then walking the batter.
