  1. Willie's OBP is better than half the players on the team. (He's right around Carlos Lee) He's doing this n the leadoff spot which is good. He's walking more and he's K'ing less. And Aaron is a solid plyer yes. But he gt a chance to play more like he is now, he can be a star. Since May 25 he's hitting .350. That was when Maggs wen down. Aaron Rowand is a stud.
  2. Hell, some people on the boards would have been happy if he would be hitting .250. He has a chance to finish between .270-.290 this season.
  3. Crede seriously has to step up today. Especially considering he's batting 6th tonight.
  4. I would take a look at him..
  5. Willie is not what you would call a star. He is a "solid" player. That's all we want in him. Eric Young has 0 homers for the Rangers, and Texas loves his production cause he gets on base. Now I've noticed that Willie is starting to get hot. Wait till another week or so when he has like a .280 or so average. I've already explained that he needs to steal more..
  6. Here's my 2 cents. Why in the f*** do you want him to hit for power? We already have Lee, Kong, Everett, Crede, Rowand, Valentin (hell, even Uribe) who have all the pop to hit homers and drive in runs. Guys like Willie, Timo isto get on base. It's that simple. A leadoff hitter's job is to get on base. As I already posted Willie has 5 walks to only 1 strikeout in his last 4 games. The only knock on him is he's not running enough. I'm very happy to see a Rowand/Lee/Kong hit a 2 or a 3 run bomb when he's on base or hit a sac. fly when he's onbase. That's his job. Not to hit homeruns, not to drive in runs, but to get on base, and to score on whoever's driving him in.... Just my 2 cents.
  7. Just about 35 min. till game time!!
  8. Willie Harris' last 4 games. 4-10 (.400) 1RBI 12B 4R 5BB 1SO Looks like he's getting hot to me. The only reason Willie was slumping a bit was beacause he was hardly playing (Uribe was hot during that time then started to fade which has Willie playing again) Now Willie's BA is better thn Uribe's and Willie is getting on base a hell of alot more.
  9. " " Means laugh out loud. Qwerty is a stupid b**** that doesn't know s***. is joking/sarcasm..
  10. Agreed. Welcome to soxtalk BigJurassic8
  11. Watch out for the Cavs. They will be good this comming year PG-Snow (McInnis) SG-James (Wagner) C-Ilgauskas (Dipo) SF-Jackson (Pavolvic) PF-Gooden (Vin Baker?)
  12. I'd say so.. He's snappin today.
  13. Yea I just saw that. Ozzie was saying how much pain he felt from having those surgeries and how his balence, hearing are back and his stuff is better. Also gave a comparison on Garcia's numbers with Seattle and the Sox. Sox- 4-1 (5 starts and already as much wins) 3.15 ERA .211 OBA (4.6 runs support) Seattle- 4-7 (15 starts) 3.20 ERA .232 OBA (2.3 runs support nearly doubled since h joined the sox)
  14. I doubt Arizona will ask for much from a 35+ year old outfielder. Plius, Kenny is willing to win at all cost. I doubt we'll give up Anderson. That's all I can really say.
  15. Steve Finley, let's do it Kenny!!
  16. IMO, that WILL probably be the BEST pickup. Finley..
  17. Or that a change of scenery always does good for a player (see Uribe, Everett, Loaiza [in 03]) Or how about he's been hitting .275 40+ 130+ rbi for 4 straight seasons? (not coutning this year) Not saying we should get him, but it can be a possibility.
  18. Which is exactly what's going on. Maggs is done for the season boyz and girlz.. And we all know Frank is pretty much done too.
  19. No wonder all the Delgado talks came out of nowhere. This does explain alot.
  20. Exactly, it was a HUGE pickup. More than I think anyone can really see..
